I just downloaded this new web browser. It seems pretty fast and automatically copied all the shit (passwords etc.) I use on Firefox so I had no problem logging on to sf. It also plays my dreambox through the enigma web interface, all in all very very cool, and it's still in beta.

Tried web sites with embedded flash video yet? Youtube is a bit of a test for Chrome, the video can stutter.

I use it for most browsing, but still have to revert to IE for some stuff, as Chrome fails.

Chrome is a pretty good browser. I like the extra viewing space. But I still have Firefox as my default. I guess I'm stuck in my ways.

Yeah I used IE forever, then I switched to firefox when IE kept crashing while I watched...errr....streaming internet videos.

I think if Chrome can handle...streaming video at least as well as firefox, it will become my new default.

I've just discovered that you can open MULTIPLE pages when chrome starts up, so you can have N home pages. It keeps getting better and better.

One thing I like about my Firefox is the plug-in feature, and especially the particular plug-ins I have. I hate ads, so I have Adblock Plus. I use del.icio.us, so I have the plug-in making that easier to use. Unless the same plug-ins exist for Chrome, then I feel no need to use it much except if I don't feel like using Firefox today, or to see if HTML docs display properly in it.

I use Chrome because it's very easy to switch between sites.
I have also found it faster than using explorer.

One thing that annoys me is an annoying icon that pops up if anything goes wrong. It has chunky graphics like something out of the 80's and says "Aw Snap!", which is probably something rappers say before they murder someone.

It makes me want to kick in my computer screen.
    This is it.

    Annoying isn't it?

This whole browser world is messed up man; I think they need to meet with each other, spec out a standard for a browser and develop accordingly.I mean, a web developer is always on his toes while developing apps, uh-oh here comes another browser in-compatibility defect ... this page scrolls on firefox but oh wait this doesn't on safari, ah but it doesn't work on IE either.I am pretty sure every developer has experienced browser issues / bugs and has had to bust his head over the issue =(

I thought Google would take initiative and do something (which i still think they will), their browser's ok, still as a developer, I love firefox because of its plugins (some of the stuff like firebug etc is inbuilt in Chrome), but I haven't had any complaints from anyone on test team end, probably because no ones started using it.

I'm not so sure about the 'feature' that puts your recent bookmarks on every new tab you open......

i prefer Opera's speed dial as well. that is the only down side to chrome because site i visit the most i dont need them in that new tab area. serves no purpose for me and is somewhat annoying. other than that it is very good.

I like StumbleUpon, and Chrome doesn't satisfy that, that's the only reason though.

    .... "open all in tabs"

userChrome.css, a config file, is also worth taking a look at. google it and find many cool hacks.

If, like me, you want to access three or four pages that you regularly use, and have access to others straight away, Chrome is a good choice.
I've only used Explorer before, so I can't give you an expert opinion.
The other alternatives must be very good, otherwise chrome would be at least second to IE by now.
I've been using Chrome since it came out and I'm happy with it.
It is as fast as IE used to be.

That obnoxious "aw snap" message seems to have disappeared as well, so I don't have the temptation to kick my computer around the room.

I just downloaded and installed it. I like it so far, but I still have Firefox as default.

It seems to work fine for me. Perhaps they improved it since..
