    Historical fact:

Eleven minutes after the Declaration of Independence was signed, US President Harry Truman de facto recognized the State of Israel, followed by Iran (which had voted against the UN partition plan), Guatemala, Iceland, Nicaragua, Romania and Uruguay. The Soviet Union was the first nation to recognize Israel de jure on 17 May 1948, followed by Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Ireland and South Africa.[70] The United States extended official recognition on 31 January 1949.[71][72] The Arab League had announced the establishment of a civil administration throughout Palestine on the same day, one that never materialized. The US or any other country did not recognize this as a new Arab state. [73][74]

The declaration was followed by an invasion of the new state by troops from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, starting the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, known in Israel as the War of Independence (Hebrew: מלחמת העצמאות‎, Milhamat HaAtzma'ut). Although a truce began on 11 June, fighting resumed on 8 July and stopped again on 18 July, before restarting in mid-October and finally ending on 24 July 1949 with the signing of the armistice agreement with Syria. By then Israel had retained its independence and increased its land area by almost 50% compared to the partition plan. Following independence, Moetzet HaAm was transformed into the Provisional State Council, which acted as the legislative body for the new state until the first elections in January 1949.

Ok, that's the first resolutiom, in a much longer list.
Do you know what happened with the next one, did Israel and the rest of the players recognise it? Or have the Zionists recognised any other resolution?

um buffalo according to everything I read the arab forces only entered Israel's borders after the first engagements. Everything I have read points to the first battles happening outside of Israel's borders which would mean that any arab invasion of Israel at that point was justified.

Yes, why don't you enlighten us, instead of play silly word games.

Provide Historical proof that what I posted wasn't fact, like I ask before.

Or maybe you want this one?

United Nations Security Council Resolution 171
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
United Nations Security Council Resolution 171 was adopted on April 9, 1962.

Following a report by the Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization in Palestine (TSO) regarding military activities in the Lake Tiberius area, along with statements by Syrian and Israeli representatives, the Council condemned both parties for their actions and determined that Israel had flagrantly violated UN resolutions. The Council then called for both parties to live up to their obligations under UN resolutions, the UN Charter and the General Armistice Agreement, and to co-operate with the Chief of Staff. The Council also endorsed the Chief of Staff's recommendation for the strengthening of the TSO.

Seems both side were in this together.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 (S/RES/242) was adopted unanimously by the UN Security Council on November 22, 1967, in the aftermath of the Six Day War. It was adopted under Chapter VI of the United Nations Charter.[1] The resolution was drafted by British ambassador Lord Caradon and was one of five drafts under consideration.[2]

It calls for "the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East which should include the application of both the following principles: (i) Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict", "(ii) Termination of all claims or states of belligerency" and respect for the right of every state in the area to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries.

Yes, and no, the Arabs weren't justified to do anything.

(as Benny Morris' book 1948: A History of the First Arab-Israeli War explains):

First, "was the immediate Palestinian uprising against the Yishuv [the pre-State Jewish community], and then, after the Palestinian defeat, the coordinated invasion by the armies of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan."

So the Palestinians rejected U.N.181 and then when they lost what was in reality a civil war, they called upon the Rest of the Arabs to pull their bacon out of the fire.

And it was all about greed,

The Palestinian population at the time did not feel it was just to partition what they felt was theirs, especially if the partition was imposed by an outside force. They worried about the consequence of the fact that, as a UN document stated at the time, "The Jews will have the more economically developed part of the country embracing practically the whole of the citrus-producing area which includes a large number of Arab producers" and that "the Arab State will not be in a position to undertake considerable development expenditure".

They wanted the land that the Jews had developed into farms for citrus production.

    They didn't want to,

"the Arab State will not be in a position to undertake considerable development expenditure"

The Jews took the development expenditure's so why couldn't the Arabs.

Was it because the Jews took it off the Arabs?

P.S. Where is the list of resolutions against Israel that it has complied with?
Whoops, that would be: the empty list.

One resolution (#242, which is in the ignore list) means there's 119 left you haven't mentioned. What's up with that?

P.S guess what Hitler said about Jewish rebellion?
"...the Jews weren't justified in doing anything."

Is there? I don't know (yet)
My father died of cancer which wasn't pretty, and he had a hard time accepting the little amount of time left following the diagnosis.
    But "that's life"...
