at age 13...I knew everything literally. I knew who did what, how they did it, when they did it, tracked everyone ...

    All while playing dumb.

    Its great.

Sometimes I wish he had a little more nerd in him. He is too busy being cool. This site wouldn't interest him one bit too geeky filled with old people in his mind. There are no threads on skateboarding, dirt biking, cellphones/IPODs, Xbox360....

shorty...you forgot that the first thing on a boy's mind are girls...not cellphones or Ipods.

Don't worry that won't be happening. I think if I did that it would just give him the green light to go ahead and do it. He knows I am not cool with the idea at his age and I am not budging. I mean he really is still only 12 until the end of July. Way too young to be engaging in that kind of thing in my opinion.

I am not going to drive myself nuts about it. Some of you are probably right.
It is just a hanging out maybe holding hands kinda thing, that won't turn into anything to heavy. (crosses fingers anyway)
From what I see he is pretty popular and is pretty laid back around his guy friends but is still shy around the girls.

We have talked more about the lying since I opened this thread and his grounding is over. I think he will think twice about lying next time. He seems to think I am somewhat psychic and find out everything anyway. lol

Don't kid yourselves these kids are so consumed with "things".
He isn't quite as bad as his friends, because he knows I won't buy him whatever he wants just because his friends have them. Most of these
kids are so spoiled rotten it's sickening. They don't appreciate, take care or even value their stuff because they didn't pay for it and if they lose
it or break it Mommy and Daddy will just get them another one.

It doesn't work that way around my house.

My 8 yr old went through his stuff recently to get stuff together for charity or the annual garage sale. He has a whole box of teenage mutant ninja turtles....want them cheap ?

    lol......

I am making a bit of progress I think. My son actually just came to me and asked me if he could help his "friend" (the girl) deliver her papers. I said ok just be back by 9pm.
Last week he lied about it, so we are going in the right direction.
