For one thing, how many doctors and firefighters do you know who taser you for not obeying them implicitly? How many of them have been caught for beating people in custody? How many of them have been indicted for putting a baton up someone's arse?

There is a reason many people don't like cops. Its called personal experience.

    They are in India

He must be referring to one or two, maybe three people that he met so i keep that in mind when reading statements like that. And you are referring to Asians and not Indians.

That said, i would never want to live somewhere that does not have some form of law enforcement.

To add to this statemnent: i would never want to live somewhere that does not have some form of law enforcement.

I could see living in a place with no doctors OR very few. Wouldnt be IDEAL but certainly possible.

:bugeye: Yes, I am aware that I am referring to Asians and not Indians. I was referring to a rude doctor, as was he.

Well, for some reason, he mentioned specifically Indians.

I'm basing this more on like a couple hundred physicians.

A significant percentage of American physicians are Indian immigrants or Indian-Americans, john.

Doesnt matter because i think it depends on the individual but some of that does come with the profession and most physicians can keep that in perspective and realize that they were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to get the education when so many are eating cold cereal and living hand to mouth and are just as intelligent and MANY more intelligent.

Makes me wonder what the requirements are in some countries. I agree though that FAR too any of these issues are entirely unwarranted. Same for lawyers who develop these delusions.

Of course the above statements do not reflect one group because i would want to know these thing regardless of the country the physician originates from.

Each individual is influenced by the culture they originated from.
My personal experience is that Indian immigrant doctors are fine, but East Asian doctors who are trained in places like Hong Kong tend to be only passably competent. The best physicians are trained in the USA, typically non-Jewish white men or women in their 40's. Don't go to a doctor under 40 if you can help it.

Just get yourself a WASP doctor who is 45 years old and you're good to go. I say this only half-jokingly.

The way i feel about this is that a doctor or even a dentist has the tools to get the job done. Just like an auto mechanic or a plumber has the tools and by this i mean physical tools like drills and all the various instruments. They went to school to learn how to use these hand tools.

I can do the research and figure out quite easily how to drill a tooth and fill it to perfection but i just dont have the tools.

to reiteratre my point, if i have a toothache i go to a dentist. IF none are available i tie a string to my tooth and pull it out or someone hold me down and pulls it with pliers. I certainly dont want to do the same when it comes to criminals, i can, but i would rather call the police.

Of course we are. Have you also noticed that jewish people tend to hate antisemites and black people tend to hate the KKK? I understand that they are just the bottom rung of a corrupt government, and it is the government who should be blamed for labelling me a criminal when I've done nothing wrong, but they chose to put on that uniform just the same as the KKK chose to put to their robes.

I admire the honest, upright ones who DO THEIR JOBS.

I admire the one who dealt with the group of thugs that got in my way when I tried to get a taxi home and threatened to rape me.

I agree with this. I can't help it, but I hate cops. They're up in your face when you don't want to be bothered (parties) and when you actually need assistance, they don't do shit. I've been cooperative before, because I thought it would make things smoother. I used to go by the ethos "well, I'm not doing anything wrong, so I shouldn't be afraid, they should be accommodating and helpful."--but I've long learned that's not the case. They're not your friend. It's best to not be cooperative and let them search your car. It's best to not talk to them if you dont' have to. They're just assholes.

Yes there are corrupt cops and yes there are some police offciers who abuse there power but all in all, most of them are good, hard working honest police offciers who take pride in their work. Civilans who have no experience in law enforcement just don;t realize how they see the world and what they have to deal with on a daily basis. I admire police officers becuase they see the horrors of what goes on in our society.

I live in a big city and we have lots of foreign born doctors . The worst doctor I ever met was an eye specialist . He is called an ophthalmologist .
He is Russian with little English . i found out that all the patients I know were given the same meds for different problems . After two visits I never went back to him .

You should have seen the shit the Welsh police gave me and my mother and brother just for entering the fucking country.

We were driving off the ferry and they wanted to know if anyone in the car had been drinking. We both said no, so they asked us a whole bunch of stupid questions, and only backed off when my mother dug out my brother's papers showing his diagnosis of profound autism and waved it under their noses.

I doubt you want people drinking and driving.

But why ask about the other people in the car? Who cares if the ones in the passenger seats are pissed??

Corruption is a natural phenomenon. It's endemic in most work environments in which there are high stakes and competition. With cops, it's no different, except of course, they have authority.
