Do you have a list of movies you have watched multiple times over the yrs and still aren't bored of them? WHAT?????????????? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! You haven't seen Rocky? or Saturday night Fever? Oh come on, you are kidding me.
Perhaps there are more, but only two come to mind My Cousin Vinnie Bowfinger Oh alright, Pyasa For me to watch a movie more than once, it has to be about words.
Aliens Batman Begins Medicine Man The Matrix Mullholland Drive (though mainly 'cos I can never figure out if I've figured it out) Fight Club Alladin (yeah I know...)
I am also shocked by scifes lack of cineastic experience. Besides those already mentioned, of which I can watch most repeatedly, Harold and Maude ( I know, nerdy and lame, but I adored the film since I was 14, nostalgic).
Jurassic Park Independence Day LOTR FOTR Bad Boys II Predator II Space Chimps Ocean's Twelve Rush Hour Rush Hour 2 Matrix Reloaded (What makes an addictive movie is properly inserted music or rather music place right on the onset of the beginning of a very good sequence or scene, good dialogue (some dialogue is crappy and corny as sh**), originality, and something new you notice each time you watch the movie.
No. It would destroy my first impression, and may make me even critical towards films I supposedly 'liked'.
There are NO movies that I could watch over and over for they would only become redundant and very boring after the third or fourth showing. That is they were shown back to back right after each one. Gone With The Wind (1939) Citizen Kane (1941) High Noon (1952) It's A Wonderful Life (1946) 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (1975) Rebel Without a Cause (1955) Some Like It Hot (1959) A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) The Wizard of Oz (1939) Fantasia (1940) The Godfather (1972) The Quiet Man (1952) King Kong (1933) Bonnie And Clyde (1967) Casablanca (1942) Shane (1953) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) Brazil (1985) From Here to Eternity (1953) Five Easy Pieces (1970) The Hustler (1961) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) Metropolis (1927) Network (1976) 12 Angry Men (1957) Being There (1979) The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966) M*A*S*H (1970) Thelma & Louise (1991) Bambi (1942) Old Yeller' Dr. Zchivago Forbidden Planet Lord Of The Rings Return Of The King As well as many others.
Ahhh you mentioned one I forgot. One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest ( I never get sick of Jack and that grin)
Pretty much all of disney's /pixar's animated classic movies. Most comedies and action movies. Movies that aren't very deep. One's that are just fun to watch. If the movie makes me think or gets me emotionally upset, while the movie may have been great, I rarely have a desire to see it again any time soon.
agreed. Its why I will never ever watch Seven again. The movie I watch over and over is Fifth Element
Legally Blonde. (I KNOW! I'm SUCH a girl! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) It's just a feel good, happy movie. Passion of the Christ. (Reminds me what He did for me.) Moonstruck. (Just a really good chick flick and I LOVE the soundtrack.) Jesus of Nazareth.
An italian film called Il Piacere directed by Joe D'Amato. The daughter of a aristocrat's dead mistress comes to visit him, and all hell breaks loose when she discovers her mother's audio recordings of her secret diary. Greatest love story ever lensed! I saw Passion of the Christ when it first came out and that movie was so disturbing I have no desire to see it again. How can you watch the torture over and over again? Doesn't it give you nausea?
God knows how many times Ive watched this scene from Mulholland Drive. Listen carefully to the sound effects! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKfU5gd7brU&feature=related
Mullholland Drive, is one of those I also keep coming back to wondering if I finally figured it out. Braveheart Strange Brew Napoleon Dynamite Red Heat, Gina Gershon is just plain hot in that one. Clash of the Titans, The scene where Zeus helps Perseus made an impression on me. Wall Street, Michael Douglas at his best. Rocky III, him taking down the big russian never gets old. The last Rocky movie was good too but the last Rambo was a bit over the top near the end. Very seldom do I check my watch during an action sequence but the body count at the end of that movie was astounding.
