How do you define music? Ive heard people call some of the metal bands "just noise" aswell as the punkrock I listen to. Is all music art? Im curious to hear your views on it

Yes all music has a mathematical complexity and is therefore considered art.

Country just plain out sucks and is some stupid redneck with a cracking voice so i call it fucking noise and banging on a trash can is music as long as there is a beat

It can be if it contains a rythm. Or if it is "musical". Meaning if it isn't just random. Ofcourse random can be music, like some forms of jazz.

but music has still yet to be defined. It cant just be a beat without random things. Otherwise much Punk wouldnt be "music"
