If you know English, Dutch and German, Swedish will be easy. They're all related.

Knowing just Dutch and English will enable you to figure out most of the Swedish language on your own and fairly easily.

    I know English and Hebrew
    I'm nearly fluent in Slovak
    I'm learning German
I learned English as my first language, for communication reasons I assume.
I learned Hebrew to read the Torah and the rest of the texts of Judaism.
I learned Slovak as I am proud of my history and wish to carry on family tradition.
I'm learning German because I find it an awesome sounding language.

I am at a Gifted school ( well, it is semi-gifted, because of regulations, half the school is gifted and half is not, it doesn't work well, because a lot of them don't like us, and a lot of us don't like them, I only don't like the people that doesn't like us ) so it is English. Some people in my class went to French immersion schools, so naturally they are better then me at French ( I don't like it anyways, I am the best in other subjects, so I don't care ).

A personal question, if you don't mind:

    Do you live in Ontario?
