i think you could apply this on an individual level as well, saying we're all equal but different, and we all have a unique role.

but generally, there are some differences between the majority of men vs the majority of women, and i don't see that as any type of inequality. i think that when those differences are embraced, and not resented, that they compliment each other fairly well.

now specifically, we are all at some point on the gender spectrum, with polar opposites being entirely masculine and entirely feminine. no one resides at the poles. there are some women who are more masculine than some men and vice versa, and there are some who are right smack dab in the middle. because of that, i like to see people as being complementary on an individual level.

Indeed I use several letters; lots of "e"s, some "t"s and "s"s. How have I defiled myself? I barely knew the woman your honour.

I wasn't suggesting anything about force, but you said you didn't think the traditional family structure was a good one....
period. IOW not simply one that did not work for you, but bad in general. So you might not want to force anyone out of it, but do you assume that they are mistaken about their choices or dumb if the structure is traditional?

Lol...Children are not my thing. I would like to share my life with a guy but the idea of a nuclear family is not my scene. When I want to hear high pitched screaming I'll listen to black metal. It's much nicer for my nervous system than kids are

Having children balances a woman's humors.

Don't just go around mouthing like a Capuchin monkey, tell us the differences. What makes a man and what makes a woman According To Lory Seven.

Only in it for the lulz.

Well... some ppl just aren't cut out for it. At least you are willing to admit it, rather then have them because you feel you have to and end up miserable.

Yeah. I used to say I wanted babies, if the subject came up, because other girls wanted them and considered it 'normal'. Hell, if I'm honest...I'd even decided I was going to have babies when I was older just to be normal, even though that wasn't really what I wanted. Very stupid, and I'm glad I grew past that.

Yeah... stick to your guns if that is REALLY not what you want. However you may change later in life when you get older and married....if you intend on getting married?
Kid's are A LOT of work. I am hitting the teenage stage with one of mine and I feel like pulling my hair out some days.

I read an article a few years back which included a survey on women's "motherly" instincts. Turns out that one woman in 20 never wants to have kids.

There was a time once when having sex meant having kids, but no more.

Visceral Instinct does not want kids. She is part of that 5%. Good luck to her. Her life, her choice.

The other 95% can contribute to the over-population for the next generation.

first i was a lamb, now i'm a monkey. most guys wouldn't have just said that to you. or mentioned that you spelled their name wrong. they wouldn't give a shit enough to bring it up, but women have to express their feelings all the time.

specifically, what makes a man or a woman is a particular combination of chromosomes, but i was referring to fairly well-known and researched behavior generalities. not to say that all of them apply to everyone.

have you ever read "men are from mars, women are from venus"? "venus and mars in the bedroom" was good too.

This is an interesting topic for me because I was once the same as you VI. I said fuck kids and marriage and all that BS and was determined to never fall into that trap...

I'm not going to lie, I'm 25 years old and I spend tons of time with my best friend's kid and as hard as it is, as difficult as it is to wake up at 6 am to give her a bath and feed her and play with her and deal with her running around like a wild banshee when I have had 2 hours of sleep...I wouldn't trade it for anything. Children are a pain in the ASS...but they offer unconditional, innocent love and to a damaged soul like mine, they also bring healing.

The sweetest, kindest compliments I have ever been given were offered by a four year old.

I never thought I would EVER say this, but shit...I think I want kids. :wallbang:

    AHHHHH!!!! :runaway:

This scenario represents what an utter nightmare children are if this is isn't fulfilling, or if there are things that you would rather be doing, that you find more fulfilling.

Oww. That would give me adrenal fatigue! 2 hours sleep?? I am feeling like shit today because I got 7 hours rather than 9 hours sleep...And I'm 20 and don't seem to be growing out of my teenage sleep routine any time soon.

I think I'll just keep my cat as my child substitute. She's warm, furry, is cool to watch while jumping and balancing on things...And she will never suffer from PMS, or fall in love with a criminal, or need convincing that she should ALWAYS use a condom even if the guy doesn't want to.

Who knows, though. Someday I might feel the need to have a little shit of my own to love unconditionally and nurture...If I show signs of it, do come and slap me across the face, won't you?
