Actually that wasn't made clear from our last correspondance: if so, this would be the second or third time. I think you misunderstand me, however: I actually have no wish to 'engage' you, or whatever the current mot is. I merely wish to keep my name out of muddy waters, if that's all right with you.

Indeed it was; but you realize that at the same time it makes no sense to allow myself to be used as an offensive example, or to be misrepresented? I'm sure you see what I mean.

This is another trope that comes up - I have no need to be anyone's victim, and I don't understand how defending myself translates into that. If you're upset that I wrote in to gripe about being used by you as a bad example of something...well, tough.

And let us hope it indeed 'stops now', if that is your object. I wish you the very best of luck in the next inception of your self-ban; I hope you will forgive me if I must, at times, comment on the same topics as yourself. I assure you, it means nothing with respect to your ethical stance on our contact, or lack thereof.

    Sincerely,

    Geoff

Yes, it is interesting when "peaceful" Muslims never want to face up to the reality of their cults actions. Why not just produce a few verses from the Quran showing how peaceful and tolerant you are... ? That should convince everyone. LOL!

Hilarious. Produce some quotes from the Quran to demonstrate your hypocrisy and the stark contrast of your actions. Well done. LOL!! :bravo:

Wait. . . I thought were were talking in a thread about some stupid church that is--peacefully--burning a fucking book. Apt comparisons are being made to the halcyon society that practically worships that book and what their reactions are to such things, and how they react to other religions.

In short: A printed copy of the second biggest work of religious fiction is going to be burned by a church and people are all atwitter. What do you think the Muslim world's uber-mature reaction will be? Conversely, what is the world's Christian's reaction when their religious symbols get trashed, or their faith oppressed by Muslims? Practically nil.

I'll worry about that church when they start flying planes into buildings, forcing women to wear bed sheets over their heads or start rioting in the streets over a few cartoons.

Call me when that happens and I'll jump on the apology bandwagon.

Again, I have said there is probably numerous of factors. Psychological, social, economical, political, perhaps even cultural. I also would point to the infestation of Wahhabism/Salafism. In case of you have forgotten, I'm Shi'a and we have been persecuted for our beliefs since the death of Muhammad (saw). 10 out of 11 of our Imams were killed. Members here have even posted recent accounts of violence on the Shi'a community.

I have killed no one. I am a follower of the Messiah Jesus and he said:

    Matthew 5:38-39
38 "You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. 39But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

I believe Jesus He is my Lord and Saviour

    Matthew 5: 43-48
43 "You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?

Yes I am a Christian not a muslim who follow teachings in rebellion against what the Messiah Jesus gave.

I have killed no one. I am a follower of all the prophets of Allah (saw) including hazrat Isa (as) and whom I also believe is al-masih.

Typical muslim in denial of the very blood thirsty nature of your religion.

Simple fact remains muhammed brought teachings from an angel that where in rebellion against the teachings of the Messiah Jesus.

And as the Apostles gave clear prophectic warning.

    Galatians 1
1 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

muhammed is accursed and all who follow him are likewise cursed.

    2 Corinthians 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

While in general agreement otherwise, that little blip in there, inveterate and ill-founded, always jars.

The best established of fundie Islam found its most solid political support, its firmest backing against various political criticism, in the right wing of the US political scene for the past couple of decades. If any form or sect of Islam was ever protected, as a "class", by any political grouping in the US, it was the Wahabi Saudis by the W administration.

Meanwhile, some of the sharpest and least compromising criticism of Islam, and opposition to its spread etc, has been found among those not favoring theistic religion in general - mainly: lefties.

I have already said all i need to say. And the very acts of your co-religionists down through out the ages and more clearly today revel the evil truth of what you follow. No need for me to elaborate when all can see i speak the truth.

All that is needed for you is to accept or reject the Words of the Messiah Jesus.

    Matthew 5:38-39
38 "You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. 39But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

WELL? Do you accept these Words of the Messiah Jesus or will you stand with muhammed and his teachings???

    You cannot follow both.

Well, you might want try to phrase your sentences better then.

That's untrue. And someone else doing something wrong doesn't absolve you for doing the same thing.

Translation: I don't know enough about you're religion or culture to debate you but I am still going to assume you're wrong and that all of you Muslims are evil monsters because that's what Dubya and Jeebus told me.

Actually, if you re-read my post, I'm really not making any generalizations, perhaps you read it that way but I wasn't nor was that my intent.

No, it's not at all. Click on any thread about Islam or Muslims. Even in this very thread it's being done.

No, but if you all are going to use generalizations, then there is no reason I can't do the same. Perhaps if you see, with a personal example, that generalizing a whole group and region, that you're apart of, maybe you will see that such generalizations are bullshit.

I don't, for starters. If you have a specific complaint, take it up with a specific poster.

I am not an american and "Dubya" as you call him believes in a religion that is more evil then islam, he is a masion. He believes in fighting wars. I am a Christian remember, i believe Jesus. Therefore fighting war is against the Words of Jesus

I see you never responded with an answer to the scriptures that i posted. I posted them to clearly define a borderline between true Christianity and islam in fact true Christianity and all false religion which "Dubya" belongs to also. So in dodging that question i guess your brotherhood in religion is more in alignment with "Dubya".

It makes me sick to the core when muslims claim they believe in the Messiah Jesus and talk as if Christianity and islam are brother religions. Too many of my true brothers in Jesus have faced persecution and death at the hands of muslims for me to stand back and allow a muslim to feign brotherhood with Christianity in the presence of athiest.

    Ugh.

    Sorry.

In fact, some of religion's biggest critics--Islam included--have been the members of this board's (and real life's) left faction.

    You are correct.

    There. I said it.

Otherwise, everything else I said stands.
