I enjoy an IPhone which I've had for over 2 years now. I pay a flat fee for 500 minutes per month with roll over to add onto the next months amount. I also have 1200 text words and Internet service a well.

I use Bit Torrents to download anything for free that ever was made.

I use a 12 MB Internet servicce provider to get faster downloads of movies and songs which I pay a flat fee for.

No cell phone, Vonage phone service, "other carrier" electric service... I food shop in 3 supermarkets a week- only buying sale items. A '00 car with 145,000 miles on it that gets me 24 MPG. I am a cheap bastard.

all school clothes for the kids are bought at Goodwill/Salvation Army/Yard Sales. I only buy shoes and underwear brand new.

If the grocery we need is on sale, we buy a lot of it. I shop farmer's market religiously.

I also try very very hard to shop in town. I like to keep my money in my community

I have a 7-quart crock pot and will fix up a huge batch of chicken/beef stew in that thing quite often. Roughly $25 in ingredients makes maybe 15-20 tasty, hot meals.

Also great for loosing weight, just keep it meat + veggies and it's low cal, nutritious, laden with protein, and quite tasty!

I make a lot of things myself . I do a lot of things on my own, like painting and landscaping. I do a lot of home cooking etc.

As Lori, I drive a '95 Corolla. has 164k miles on it, and I will drive that friggin' car, till it falls apart..

I also recycle all plastic bottles as well as aluminum cans. I even grab the cans out of the trash bins at work. A buck is a buck.

I don't understand buying things only when you run out. You pay less if you buy it on sale when you don't need it. What happens if you need it and its full price?
