Among my favorite book titles are these two rarities:

ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTAINENCE.

I MAY NOT BE PERFECT BUT SOME PARTS OF ME ARE EXCELLENT.

What are the rules about using names from movies, but in a completely different context?

Most of Lovecraft's titles are very bland...'The Terrible Old Man' for example.

But every once in a while...a killer!!!

    What the Moon Brings
    The Night Ocean
    Beyond the Wall of Sleep
    The Colour out of Space

Well aside from the first title which I mentioned several posts ago, the others dont evoke any visuals for me.

I always thought Dream-Quest was too 'amorphous'...to use one of Lovecraft's favourite words.

"Rogue Trader: How I Brought Down Barings Bank And Shook The Financial World". A good title because, though apparently arrogant and naive, it's the sober truth. Nick Leeson was the young derivatives trader who racked up $1.4 billion in concealed losses causing the collapse of the oldest merchant bank, the respected Barings empire, in 1995. The book was made into the film "Rogue Trader" starring Ewan [Obi Wan] McGregor in 1999 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI86OTaKiVI). Simultaneously entertaining and appalling.
