    Can the family members of the Polish soldiers sue? Is this considered a war crime and can people be prosecuted now?

    Katyn wasn't the only massacre ordered by Stalin and blamed on the Germans, the full truth will never be known.

    just one of the reasons this probably won't ease the animosity the poles hold towards russia.

    I think its wrong to expect compensation now, its far too late and nobody alive in the Russian government either took part in WW2 and was responsible for the actions of Stalin.

    I did hear of a similar occurence at the end of WW2 where Churchill ordered the return, across the Czech border of several hundred white russians at the insistence of Stalin. I have not researched this aspect as yet, being busy on other projects but has anyone else heard of this russian massacre of russians?
