    Not opted either.
You have been an atheist, so you must know that it's not something you choose or opt for (unless you were a believer before that of course).
You just do not, can not, believe in God and all the stuff that comes with it.

    Don't worry about it.

That is your personal choice and between you and God, and hey I respect that you are making a choice, by exercising your free agency given by God.

No, I will go with my religion and say I won't do it unless Jesus Christ or God personally told me to do it, and I know that they will stop it, it is from my heart ( figuratively ). Also, I won't believe any man claiming to be Christ or God, because it the Bible, it already said, when Jesus next comes every man will without a shadow of doubt instantly know he is the Christ. So yeah...I won't do it unless it is under that circumstance.

You can replace 'children' with 'life'.

I understand, I know what you mean, but I was trying to make a word in the English language fit in that aspect. That is the problem with language...

    Thanks

I chose to do it, that is why. I answered the same question before in another thread and in this one in more detail and I don't want to copy and paste...

Umm....I sorta get it then. Oh well, one day ( assuming I don't get hit by a bus and don't forget to wear a jock in football, rugby and hockey.... ) I'll understand.

No, I meant Life. You know, the slugs, frogs, oak trees, etc..

And now... getting back on topic....

So we're agreed then, the OP question itself is silly and meaningless?

    Lovely.

Yeah, because it is not as if atheists are alien or something along the lines of that...

On the grounds of what would your mother giving birth to you be mutually exclusive to God having something to do with it?

Because what one says is an expression of one's beliefs.

For example, when I went through a strongly atheist phase, the first thing I did was to purge my vocabulary of all theistic references.

That is a very strange interpretation, I have no idea how you got to it.

I meant "self-declared" as opposed to "declared by others".
Given that other people may declare us to be all kinds of things, it is important to be clear in what we declare ourselves to be.

Not really. It's the theist that defines the atheist. I may be open to a few "concepts/definitions" of god... As such, I call myself an agnostic.

But if there is only one god, and I do not believe in "your" god - then, by definition, I am an atheist.

It makes no difference to me what the label is.

I think you may find that you are a minority in this respect.

Well as far as the term 'atheist' goes, and this is not the first time I've said this, I did not declare myself an atheist.
Furthermore, upon hearing the word 'atheist', I think most if not all people will assume that without further clarification the word can be taken to mean 'self-declared atheist'.
'Self-declared' has a negative connotation to me when it's use seems superfluous.
But you didn't mean it the way I thought you meant it, so I guess we can just drop the subject.
