That is what I have already done, but that still does not address the first impression people arriving by search engine will get.
That is something the Dev's have to address. All I can give you currently is a work around and state that the Dev's will eventually catch up with any problems people pick-up on.
Too weird. I just received yesterday's email and a friendship request from yesterday which I had already accepted, so did so again. Talk about deja vu, lol... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
That's due to the roll-back to deal with the database error earlier. Hopefully re-living the experience hasn't caused all your windows to be bricked up since that would mean the agents are onto you......... j/king
Quite right, folks, as you were. We now return control of your databases to you. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Figured it was a technology 'fail'. Just in case, though, I have the horses strategically placed in the perimeter paddocks which effectively act as an early warning system and incidentally surround the garden and my magnificent lettuces. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I thought maybe it was my system, but I've confirmed that this happens on only one other forum, and they happen to be running the latest vBulletin, and have recently upgraded/moved and are working out bugs. vBulletin's own support forum behaves correctly, so I'm guessing it's a setting here. The mouseover/tooltips that shows the first post in a topic's link...I get two, one like before, themed with the forum's colors, and then one in a yellow plain box. Running the latest version of Firefox on Ubuntu.
Thanks for making the site icon refresh the whole forum again. SF listens! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
How come banned members appear on the ''currently active'' section? Sometimes is full. Is like watching dead people walking around. It's very sad, at least for me :-( Please put them to RIP permanently. Thank you. -tashja
Sometimes moderators ban them while they signup and they get caught in limbo. For the most part it's actually down to bot's having predefined session id's that they use, they create a lifetime cookie on the server that they can then attempt to log back into by re-initiating that session in the future. The actual fix to that is to actually purge the lifetime cookie sessions every so often after altering the password/email address to banned accounts so the account sessions are changed and the account can't be recovered by the banned person/bot.
Does "Members who have read this thread" show only those members that have their status set on visible mode, whereas those that read and post in invisible mode, do not appear in the "Members who have read this thread" list? I've noticed that in some threads, a poster has posted in it, but is not listed in "Members who have read this thread".
Wynn, If a member has set themselves invisible, to a standard member you will not be able to see them online or if they have read the thread, however to administrators and moderators they can be seen as having viewed the thread.
Any why all of the sudden are my posts subject to "Your post will show when a moderator has approved it" ?
The same "Your post will show when a moderator has approved it". The thread: http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?118842-Comments-on-physics-and-maths-content-and-moderation The post: p.s. I fail to post the same post in "Why do my posts have to be approved by a moderator?".
