Can dreams reveal clues to future events? Dreams have fascinated us for time immemorial. Many believe that dreams hold the key to hidden truths about their lives. Two weeks before Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, he dreamt of a funeral at the White House. American novelist Mark Twain dreamt of his brother's body in a metal coffin, shortly before he was killed in a boating mishap. After the Titanic sunk, hundreds of people came forward to report their dreams of disaster. So can dreams predict the future? http://articles.timesofindia.indiat...ity/29807150_1_dreams-sheela-ki-jawani-future IOW, can dreams affect the material aspect of reality? It would appear so. If thoughts can alter reality, on a quantum mechanical level, then dreams should also be able to, being made up of the same energy.
Its far more complex. Like for instance the main reason why males are priests in catholic church is that they are supposed to be a mixture of male and female. You see you often hear about females and intuition. This is where this gets you people alot. You see females are famous for being hysterical. Intuition is nothing without analytical thought. Thats the side where males comes in This is why males are only priests. People miss the part, of how your supposed to have balanced thought. Feelings or dreams are nothing without analytical thoughts. Thats why females are not priests, and they are often famous for being hysterical. Intuition, or feeling something is nothing without some analytical thoughts. Thats why your supposed to be balanced in all this. Catholic priests are supposed to be both male and female. I would suggest people wanting to learn this stuff need to understand why analytical thought and intuition is needed in a balance way. Your wasting your time having intuition without the ability to reason. I am being blunt, but i think you get the picture, of why intuition or feelings alone are not the answer. Your supposed to have balance. I view myself as androgynous, like what buddhist monks and catholic priests are supposed to be. We are all male and female to varying degrees. By the way most males really do not have analytical thought.
If you don't study for a test and you dream you failed the test - that could happen. If you mean can dreams fortell the future - then no. Many believe that crop circles are made by aliens. Many believe that the numbers on the back of highway signs are secret messages for the United Nations. Many believe that it is God wants them to kill innocent people. What people believe is not very persuasive. Who knows if this is true and if it is - so what. I wonder what shortly before means and so what. The titanic was a big deal when it sailed so the fact that people may or may not have dreamed that a ship that was all over the news sunk is not surprising. No they cannot affect the material aspect of reality - unless you mean that you could sleep walk and fall out a window. It doesn't appear so - hell it doesn't even pass the giggle test. It always helps to throw in a few scientific terms that you don't understand to make the woo-woo seem more plausible. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Of course not! It's pure coincidence, nothing more. People remember the two or three dreams in ten years that seem to come true - but they readily forget the HUNDREDS (probably THOUSANDS) that do not. <shrug>
What's the connection between the subconscious mind and dreams? Is the subconscious mind the one responsible for the dreams we get? Can dreams be understood in the light of the relationship between them and the subconscious mind? Also, if you have a purely negative experience in a nightmare how would it affect your mind or psyche after you wake up?
Personally i am glad that whom ever made us gave us all our own lens of hate. Science will never answer any real questions, and its beyond them to understand things beyond there own lenses, lol I am grateful all my life that alot is far too complicated for the human mind. I always say thx that humans will never answer those big questions, lol I am absolutely certain humans will never answer the biggest questions, and never really answer anything.
No they will not, the uk gov used my life to try and understand this stuff, and after 21 years cannot even work out my name. Thats the intelligence of humans in science. They ruined my life for nout, and cannot even work out whom i am. So these same people are going to answer the big questions. lol I have had 21 years of being used in some sadistic rubbish, that they used to try and find out this stuff. After all this time they still cannot even work out me, lol
I have wrote about my life enough elsewhere. I think you most people have no idea what they are really doing. But one thing they will never answer anything. If you think so, thats your bag, but from my personal experience they will not.
Gamma wave synchronization is said to create the unity of consciousness, perhaps this activity occurs while we're dreaming to.
it's possible IF the brain does process information, then gives a scenario of a outcome, this, some may construe as a kind of predictor, but it does on a personal level seem like wishful thinking, but worthy of study. er just in case !!!!
What you are trying to introduce in this thread is sheer nonsense. Despite the member name you chose for yourself, all you have demonstrated here is foolishness! Get a REAL education and stop with this stupid nonsense before you find yourself banned again (which would suit me fine!).
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's your opinion which I disagree with, but I do admit this is not my best thread because I am unable to provide proof of the claim.
Actually, it's far worse than that - you're just being childish. For a very long time now, it's been recognized that dreams are a result of the brain "clearing" it's short-term memory. Much as a computer periodically clear it's cache of infrequently used information, so does the human brain. It no longer needs such things so it frees up memory space. And that also explains quite well why dreams are often just fragmented bits and pieces that frequently have no relation to each other. The point I'm trying to get across is this: you should spend your time STUDYING the information that's out there INSTEAD of just mentally thrashing around with topics that you obviously know absolutely nothing about. All you're succeeding in accomplishing is making yourself appear to be a child or a VERY foolish adult!
Interesting. Point taken. I do read but not on some topics such as this one. I'll read more on topics I know nothing about as you suggest. I'm hoping most of my posts are a hit instead of a miss.
