    Hi

Carl Sagan once described a simplified example where there was a prophecy of war following the passing of a comet. This was presented to the people who came to believe it. Then eventually a comet did come to pass and a leading member of society said this meant there would be war and they started beating the war drums and preparing for war. The other side heard of it or perhaps they also were familiar with the same prophecy and they also prepared for war which eventually led to a war and the appearance of a legitimate prophecy.

This legitimacy begins to fall apart as soon as you look a little closer and realize that the prophecy helped encourage people to bring about the war and their own demise. A simalar historical example is when Croesus was told that if he attacked the Persians, he would destroy a great empire which he thought was good if it was the enemy he destroyed but he wound up destroying his own great empire.

I'm not an exeget, but this biblical prophecy seems to describe The Holocaust very accurately: Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. http://carm.org/kjv/Zech/Zech_13.htm

Probably the numbers 13 and 8 were choiced by a numerologist or cabbalist. 13 + 8 = 21; 2 (father and son) 1(the principle: God) = 3 (father and son= 3 [the holy spirit]). The number 3, a basic brick in Cabbala.
Suspicious, considering the strong influence of cabbala: 144 000 people from the tribes of Israel will go to heaven, 12 apostles, 666/616 of the beast., etc

Help me know the sociologycal/historical processes which trapped the fathers of our religions into the Self-fulfilling Nightmare.

I do not believe in self fulfilling prophesies, i never brought any of the stuff into my own life that was done to me. Although i am grateful for stumbling over stuff that was secret, i never brought it into my life.

My life was ruined by forces outside of me.

So my life proved that self fulfilling prophesies do not exist, but rotten people do. My life was wrecked by the fact that most people want to destroy others. I am full on supportive that they want to make a virtual police state for these people do not want to leave others alone to live some sort of life.

The part we create the future is that life after we die will be affected mainly, as the world is planned along time in advance. So people living today will have more impact of how the world is after the time they are probably dead.

The world as it is today, was planned literally decades ago. So the world decades or centuries form now, is being planned now. We all play a part in this creative process, and single people do make a difference, no matter what people tell you.

The roll we mainly play as creating the future, is probably along time ahead, as the world is planned along time in advance, it really is.

    A self-fulfilling prophecy is a self-delusion, a fraud, by definition.

Can i ask for more details of that experience?

How you are sure of it? Why most people could want to undermine others for reasons other than survival? It have to do with US unemployment?

Religions have an enormous potential for evil and destruction. The danger consist in the surreptitious and imperceptible way it infects society.

It is scary enough to have fundamentalist Christians in the United States, who would love to see the start of the end times, in control of nuclear weapons, ...

The fall of Babylon, The dispersion of the Jews, The Destruction of the Temple, etc.
Is there reason to believe that there weren't just self-fulfilled prophecies? Or intentional frauds, as The Holy Shroud?

Why the american education can't eradicate once and forever nasty superstitions as the belief in prophecies? What is failing?
