    bitch?

Two male dogs had been chasing the scent of a female dog all day. They had covered many miles and endured some very dangerous situations in their chase. While taking a short pause to rest, one of the dogs commented : "Ain't this a Bitch!". The other replied : "It better be!".

    just for fun!

No its like developing your own gravity that envelops your ship

Was trying to point out that some ironies could come from using the different slang or urban definitions of the word "bitch" in Posts #19 and #20, by pointing out the origin and literal definition of the word.

Was trying to use humor to do it...just for fun!

Was not trying to play...anything other than... nice!

Well, from what I've gathered of relativity. Theoretically, as you approach c (speed o' light), your mass begins to change.
That would probably have an effect on the gravitational field in and around your ship.

Your ship would require tremendous amounts of energy to produce a gravitational envelope to protect itself. Then to be able to do it while at the same time maintaining a normal or at least, survivable, gravitational field inside the ship, would probably make it trickier.

After all that, you'll need an electronic computer command and control center inside the ship to monitor, calculate and adjust the envelope due to the changes in mass as you approach c.
The closer you got to c, the faster the changes would occur, necessitating the need for ever faster monitoring, calculating and adjusting of the envelope.

Since the maximum speed of electron flow in a circuit is limited to somewhere below c, at some point prior to attaining c, you would no longer have any control over the envelope.

So, to me it seems that the closer you get to precisely the most crucial point in you quest (the exact instant that you match the velocity of c), and actually achieving FTL Travel , that you would absolutely, positively, no boubt adout it, really, really need this Gravity Envelope to be at peak operating efficiency, the closer you get to the point that it most likely will begin to fail or ceases to work!

    Just for fun.

    Just my thoughts.

It might but my gravity field is independent from the field around my ship

    Agreed it does

No , both are aspects of the same thing

Inotherwords because I have my own gravity carried with me where ever I go , no outside gravity affects me

    I am independent

    No not really

    But I do though

It has always been working a peak efficiency

    It has been fun

    Yes...it...has...been...fun...

I do so enjoy meeting really intelligent people, and it is indeed fun and also enjoyable to grok thoughts/ideas/viewpoints/theories while in open, honest discourse with them.

    So,...yes it has been...
