The enormity of the coincidence is quite astronomical after 30 years and never speaking before hand. How many people you have you met today that you were told 30 years ago you'd meet? Has that happened to you?

So what if it is astronomical. If something is unlikely, that doesn't mean it can't happen. Unlikely things happen all the time.

If it happens to atheists, does that mean there is no god?

I accept unlikely things happen all the time. Likened this to the fact that the day Jesus walked on the water there were shoals of fish under every step he took! Can we explain things like this by saying, "unlikely things happen all the time"?

If it happens to atheists it means there is a God, for God allows it to rain on the good and the wicked. Maybe there is no selection.

But has something with such astronomical odds like that ever happened to you?
Predicting the twin daughters was something like 1 in 1,200) in itself. To have a Guardian angel tell you, you are going to make love to someone and the next time you meet up 30 years later and that is what you do. The odds of that are something like 1 in a billion, so combined that and the story has the odds of about 1 chance in 1.2 trillion. Only 150 times the number of people on Earth.
So it is very very unlikely.
(figures are estimates and subject to adjustment).

Nice play of words. I'm sure if you ever experience God throughout your very being you'll be singing a different tune.

But, it is highly unlikely that I will experience God, just as it is highly unlikely you or anyone else have experienced God because all gods are just myths and superstitions. The only tune sung differently are the tunes believers sing to their mythical gods.

Fork, when it comes to reason, (Q) is a hopeless case.
    You're wasting your time.

Jan, we all know for a fact very little of what you have to say has any reason to it. Seriously, that is just laughable for you to even use the word, 'reason' as it is entirely foreign to you.

It's not as simple as "God either exists or It does not", both sides have equal claims to proof.

Sorry, but no one has any proof or evidence that any gods exist, let alone your God.

You're free to show us your proof, if you have any? Please do.

I can't prove anything at this juncture. But I can give you an explanation of how mind affects reality according to CC who sent me this in my personal notifications:

Okay, having time to realize now that I don't necessarily need to locate the replies... So this would just be reference to monism? In this case involving "mind" as being the basic / universal principle or whatever? Yeah, that's the gist of it -- differences dissolve into the "same stuff" at the ontological bottom, thus the reason why they can interact or affect each other.

Yes, I know you can't prove your God, no one can because there is no proof whatsoever.

That is not proof of anything, that is just nonsensical gibberish.

There is actually a proof. Google "CTMU" by Chris Langan.

Ahhh. So just because you don't understand something it's nonsense. Okay. Gotcha.

No, that is not proof of anything, please stop lying.

No, that is gibberish, plain and simple.

    :roflmao:

Fork is simply trying to engage you in a reasonable discussion, not convert you to some atheist Jim Jones like cult.
Would it kill you to just put your points across in a way that convinces us your not on some drug induced paranoia trip?

Personal experience would say otherwise. That mind can and does affect reality.

Here is a quote from the CTMU:

Ordinary feedback, describing the evolution of mechanical (and with somewhat less success,
biological) systems, is cyclical or recursive. The system and its components repeatedly call on
internal structures, routines and actuation mechanisms in order to acquire input, generate
corresponding internal information, internally communicate and process this information, and
evolve to appropriate states in light of input and programming. However, where the object is to
describe the evolution of a system from a state in which there is no information or programming
(information-processing syntax) at all, a new kind of feedback is required: telic feedback.

Personal experience are worthless as proof and are often the result of mental disorders.

    That is pure crap.

That is not proof of anything. I understand you are obsessed with CTMU, but it says nothing at all and there is no evidence of it being credible.

He is doing no such thing, and like you, has no clue as to what is reasonable. You are both engulfed in complete fantasy and delusion well beyond reality.

Who made you an authority on reality. Reality is far more complex than you give it credit for.
