Same thing: if Jesus was real, he would be an advanced being.

I agree with some of these posts: mostly that God is unknowable. If you ever knew the enormity of 'God', you would die immediately.

Many bipolar geniuses in history. Cantor, Beethoven, and Hemingway. It doesn't invalidate their creative genius that they were afflicted with this disease. But it might explain any manic tendencies they might have experienced in their everyday living: going on spending crazes, uncontrollable sequences of ideas, hypereroticism, paranoia, and grandiosity. Have you experienced any of these symptoms in your everyday life?

What do you believe is the cause of bipolar, or other schizo-effective disorders?
You better find out soon as in about 10 years every body is going to be sucking on the "''ole med's" teat.

Did you get that? or did it just go over your head? "ole med's teat" = "Old maids teat"... no...sure...you're kidding?
It's kinda sad actually to think of human dependency on a psychotropic tablet(s) every day simply because it has ... ahh never mind..

Have you ever studied the nature of genius? Name one genius that was able to conform to the arbitrary social norm illusion. What dos that tell you about the social norm an d why the so called "social norm" is so important...

Gotta be careful... the last person to consider me a genius ended up getting locked up in a padded cell for a few weeks... not a lot of people can handle being a genius nor experiencing a genius.

    Causes of bipolar disorder:

Biological differences. People with bipolar disorder appear to have physical changes in their brains. The significance of these changes is still uncertain but may eventually help pinpoint causes.

Neurotransmitters. An imbalance in naturally occurring brain chemicals called neurotransmitters seems to play a significant role in bipolar disorder and other mood disorders.

Hormones. Imbalanced hormones may be involved in causing or triggering bipolar disorder.

Inherited traits. Bipolar disorder is more common in people who have a blood relative (such as a sibling or parent) with the condition. Researchers are trying to find genes that may be involved in causing bipolar disorder.

Environment. Stress, abuse, significant loss or other traumatic experiences may play a role in bipolar disorder.

You see one of the main differences between a genius and a "genius yet to be" is that the genius will read what you have written and suggest that you have not addressed the question.
What do you think causes all those differences in hormones, neurotransimitty thingos and stuff generally? [and I might add every individual, "normal" or other wise, is different any way]
You did however mention genetic predisposition.. but to what exactly is a sufferer genetically predisposed to be sensitive to, do you think?
[follow this line of reasoning and you will eventually find a cause or two. IMO]

have you ever heard of the new field of medical research called:
Psychoneuroimmunology? [ which is long tech speak for the study of neurological psycho somatics.]

20 odd years ago I was sitting in an auditorium full of students listening to a scientist say more or less what that article you link to was saying.... Alexander theater, Monash University.
I note your article is dated August 2013 and that research hasn't evolved much since around the early 1990's.
I also note that they are using the common & obsolete term "Schizophrenia".
So what is it that a person is predisposed to be sensitive to?
    no answer ... after 20 years..sheesh!

Try this "politically corrected" thread I started a while ago:
A new approach to mental illness [ take 2 ]

    Opinion:
"To deny the truth of your experience is to destroy the reality of your existence" ~ss 2003
Suffice to say, "All experiences are true. It is only our understanding of them that may be delusional" ~ absolute statement [ no exceptions]
Ironically it is the intense fear that the experience MAY NOT BE a hallucination that forces the person into a hugely traumatic state. [ the fear of being "different" or "odd" or "weird" or "strange" ]
    Common lines of thought:
    "It can't be real"
    "I am going nuts"
"Gosh if so and so finds out"
    "Why me?"
    "Why only me?"
    "What does that make me?"
"Who do I think I am?"
    "My life is over"
    and so on...

You know it takes a hell of a lot more to be a god or God himself, than mere knowledge, sensory ability and existence.

And that is what most people who have experiences paranormal events have to contend with " The God(ess) complex" [philosophy - "will to power"] or "Narcissistic Personality Disorder" NPL. [psychiatry] or "Bag lady", homeless street person screaming in the night [ society - conflated ]

You do realize that suggesting a person is mentally ill is an easy way and safe way to not deal with your own truth don't you?
It is an accusation that can not be refuted by any one, let alone a person who "appears to be" actually dysfunctional.
Prove YOU are sane first and then I will take your suggested diagnosis seriously...

Do I think I am God? No. Not by your definition. But you all think I am God. [by your defintion] That I am almost certain of...
so who exactly can be deemed as mentally ill here? Me or you?
Coping with your own delusions of grandeur is why I post as I do... For you to deal with the fact that you are sharing a conversation with what you believe is God is the issue of delusions of Grandeur.
"I'm talking to God...lah lah lah" sheesh! How many times have I had this thrown at me...!!!
    Regarding "Me"?
I am just a man who has had to , due to extreme survival necessity, explore and survive the full potential of the human form. Call it what you like... I do not care. But please stop pissing on your shoes and sh*tting in your pants...when you see me.[conflated]..! [hence the use of my photo as an avatar]

If you wish to research your implied accusation more thoroughly by all means use this facebook link...

No I do not have any concerns about issues of anonymity because if I did I would not be on facebook to begin with...
maybe you could provide a similar link so that I can research you?

    "...if Jesus was real..."

What do you mean IF? In my opinion Jesus did not exist two-thousand years ago but will reveal himself at the "second coming." Jesus however did write the bible (hence he is the main character and hero (the new testament anyways (the old testament was written by Jews for Jews.)) Jesus simply discovered LOVE (the bible states that everyone loved Jesus as he preached love) and he was set free into heaven to further his study of love (to find a wife!) But don't take my word for it, read the bible. Why would Jesus lie?

I am atheist so I have hard time defining god - let's just say that my personal god is universe itself. The way it exists and lets me to exist. I'm not buying all christian dogmas and rather worship god my own way. By living my life to the fullest.

Yes HEQ. But what if with ANY of his non-existent (i.e. it ceases to exist or BE one) he altered human genetics so it was capable of EVERYTHING?! Would that not be a great thing? Where would it 'BE', or come from? It just is, across time, space, EVERYWHERE, EVERYONE, EVERYTHING!!! And what of the unknowable visionary? Is he to endure NOTHING? Again? Only if time itself exists, else all will return. So then, how can a time-machine be invented if time itself does not exist?

Sorry, I have hard time understanding You.
Human genetics were altered? English is not my first language and I believe I'm not on same "channel" as You.

God = Universe ergo No Brainer

    God = Universe aka everything.

Everything = gravity, fermions and bosons other than gravity and any combination thereof.

There are two other metaphysical things not included above. The above is reality things i.e. they occupy space ergo exist as an occupied space.

    1) Metaphysical concepts as mind/intelligence is concepts of space but not a space, and,

    2) metaphysical non-occupied space the exists beyond our finite occupied space we call Universe.

Metaphysical mind/intelligence, has the unique ability to conceptualize a finity Universe, with ourself existing outside of this conceptual finite Universe, as if were a God looking back in upon the Universe, were holding in our hands.

All of the above is rather simple and not complex set of concepts.

If you want a complex and difficult set of concepts, try thinking of an infinite occupied space with a God outside of it holding the infinite occupied Universe in its hands.

Now if you can do that, then you may need to consult a doctor...
