    They don't.
    They have mass.
Weight is a function of gravity.
Things in the absence of gravity are weightless.
Things at rest maintain a mass... often referred to as an inertial mass.

I know. It was a Socratic question.

Even in the midst of NOTHING there is still SOMETHING. Just talk to my witness.

    I reiterate

Zero both exists as material , such as money or food in the fridge , both exist , the question is whether you have either in your possession

The immaterial or nothing , can never exist since , it has NONE of the qualities that material things have , especially space

Therefore in the depth of sub-atomics and further depth , sub-quantum , there is no space in which to manifest either

    It is

How do you hug 0..? Physically ?

Actually when you think about it . it's not that hard to give zero a hug.
Take any object and know that zero is with in it [ non-existent ] and give it a hug...

ie. the center of mass for a human being is approximately around the solar plexus, this area is considered by some Eastern theosoph-ies to be the center of the person-(ality)
The Center of mass [ gravity is a zero point ] so give the person a hug and you are hugging a zero point or two or more... [chuckle]
    Compare:
"I am going to give John a hug." [immaterial personality] - Solar Plexus zero point
    and
"I am going to give John's body a hug." [material being] - Center of Mass zero point

either way a zero point is involved in the hug....

And what of the ONE? YOU! YOU are one! Even if you think you are alone, YOU would still know it!

    "Giving one a hug?"

    *shakes head*

An interesting line of reason came to mind relevant to this thread.

If we have a table with "nothing" on it and consider this nothing to be immaterial.
We place mirror positioned vertically on the table so that it reflects this "immaterial nothing".

So in the mirror we see a reflected form of nothing.... ok...with me so far?
    Question:
Is the reflected form of nothing any more material than it's immaterial source due to the simple fact that it is a reflected nothing and not just a mere nothing only?

    Nope. You lost me!

Nothing is represented by "0" and something is represented as "1". Reflections are something, and a lack of reflection is nothing. So your "reflected nothing" is an illusion in your mind, and in no way should that illusion be interpreted as reality. That's to say, in the mirror there is nothing reflected, not reflected nothing.

So the mirror add's nothing to the topic? [chuckle]

Reflection and inversion are obviously related.

Is zero velocity a material 'object' (it certainly is a mathematical object), and so, when you throw some material object up in the air, it returns. Its velocity 'inverts' at some point in space, or equivalently, gravity 'reflects' the object at an abstract boundary.

We 'materially' see the object go up, then come down. At some point, logically, it must be moving neither up, nor down, but have zero velocity.
When does this happen? Is there an infinitesimally small moment of time during which the object has no velocity?

This question has been asked here before, it's a pretty simple question. Is there a "time at which" the object's velocity is zero, since logically there must be?

Now remove time , does the object still reach zero velocity or motion ?

What does "remove time" mean? How do you do it?

By not timing or how long it takes to get to non-motion point

IMO this is a fundamental question and if answered properly speaks volumes about universal physics.

I feel the answer is both yes and no, because the zero point in question is both material and immaterial. [ hence this threads topic. ]

Zero doesn't exist yet it is very present. So therefore it is both materially present yet immaterial.
The same question and answer applies to the Center of Mass [COM] or Center of Gravity [COG]... Definite and measurable effect [balance] yet does the point exist as material?

Given that the COM or COG is often a floating location [ a culminate zero point for want of better words] it is definitely immaterial [existing but non-existent except by it's effect]
The exact same situation applies to the Lagrangian point between two or more gravitational masses. [ which again is a culminate zero point ]
