...in futurism and sci-fi when listening to certain music? For example, I was listening to "Nero - Innocence" and I came across this image on a wallpaper website and all of a sudden, I wish I was there. I wish the world was like that right now and its very similar to the urge you get to travel when looking at a beautiful landscape, often of a biome different than that of your own. Like you are sitting on your desk, browsing the web when this rolling grassland from Africa or the frozen plains of the poles with aurora dancing in the sky appear on your screen, either an image or a video you clicked on and you wish you could just leave your daily life behind and revel in that beauty and wonder for real, not looking at it through a screen. This happens very frequently, especially when listening to rhythmic dubstep. Does anyone else feel this? Why does this happen? Why does it only happen with dubstep? I feel inexplicably drawn to sci-fi and this has made me a technophile. Over half of my desktop wallpapers are futuristic cityscapes. Almost all the novels I have are sci-fi and I seek out movies and games with near future settings [2025-2075]. I can't stop and I can't understand it. What is happening?
No, the opposite, actually. I was indeed going through a depression and an existential crisis about 4 months ago, but it has cleared up in the last 3 weeks, with my moods better than ever, my work more fruitful than in over a year and me more sociable than since even longer. Ps. "than since even" sorry fraggle for making your eyes bleed but I don't know what the correct grammer for this would be.
