I do not know. What does it take to get fired from a mayor position in Canada? Rape? Murder? How did this dolt get vetted to become mayor in the first place? 5 minutes in a room with this guy would've raised red flags.

Keep in mind his popularity numbers went up after the revelation about the crack smoking.

Here's the latest. Apparently he used a vulgar way of referring to oral sex with a woman in a press conference. (fill in the blank). Wants to start a TV show with his brother? SNL will have a field day with this.

He reminds me of Leonard from the movie Full Metal Jacket.

I have Met Mayor Rob Ford. I lived in Toronto and grew up there.

Ford is a bit wired to be Mayor, but he had already greatly cut City Spending across the board by a lot.

Look at this from "The Globe and Mail"
He angered a lot of Government workers by cutting jobs and budgets. This turnaround was brutal and a lesser mayor would not have stood so firmly. He has fulfilled any duty to the city tenfold.

We know the Mayor likes to party. He is half in the bag or more at many events. He also coached teen football and is a nice guy.

So now he says he tried crack... I don't care. Best Mayor in years.

He has already slashed the budget and fulfilled his promises. He had to face crying kids, crying unions, and more.

    I'd vote for him.

He was known as a drinker before he got voted in, it was no surprise. He had domestic dispute police intervention within the previous year of his election. The point is he did what he said he would.

A drunken Mishap where he accepted drug offers I think is appalling more so because he failed to cover his tracks. There was a time when many important people indulged in Cocaine. Society is not so far removed.

You only think it's appalling because he failed to cover his tracks.....?

    Wow.. Just.. Wow..

I didn't think you could sink any lower, but you just did.

    Well done.

This kind of reminds me of the billionare 'on / off' prime Minister of Italy, Berlesconi. When he's in, bunga bunga parties 'n all, Italy generally prospers. When he's out, it goes into a tail spin, often changing socialist political parties inside 12 moth periods.

leaders should not be judged by their indescretions. They should be judged by how well they do for the economy and national debt.

He must be convicted of a crime for him to be formally removed.

He has political clout stemming from his late father and they appear to remain silent on Wynne's proposal of amending the laws if all the other opposition parties agree. So unless he is charged, tried and found guilty, their hands are tied without an amendment to the law itself to allow the Premier to sack him. Even though he is an independent, his close affiliation and connection to the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario through his father means that an amendment to the laws is unlikely.

He knows he can get away with it, hence his continued abhorrent behaviour.

The criminals in Canada certainly think so as well.

Mayor Rob Ford shrugged off the letter he wrote for Alexander “Sandro” Lisi’s sentencing hearing on a threatening charge.

And Councillor Doug Ford claimed his brother has written “numerous letters” for criminals.

Lisi, Ford’s friend and occassional driver, is now on bail facing marijuana trafficking charges and appealing his threatening conviction against his girlfriend of one year.

The letter for Lisi — made public Tuesday — was written by Ford on his City of Toronto mayor’s office letterhead and filed as part of Lisi’s sentencing hearing.

So he uses state letterhead to write letters of recommendation for drug traffickers, domestic violence abusers and other criminals to try to reduce their sentences. Lovely.

Hang on, aren't you the one who went on a spiel about Trayvon Martin being a so called criminal and justifying his murder? And you support a Mayor who uses state funds to support and write letters of recommendations for actual drug traffickers, wife beaters and other criminals, calling him the best Mayor in years?

And just so you know, crack cocaine is an illegal substance. He hasn't just smoked it once. And he has a string of drink driving charges and has even admitted to driving while drunk. This is also illegal. As is sexual harassment and sexual solicitation. This is acceptable to you? Or do you only support criminal acts if the person committing said criminal acts are politically conservative?

Latest news report: He's been stripped of ALL authority - he is now mayor in name only.

Well he certainly admitted to smoking crack. That's a crime worth several years of prison time as far as the common man is concerned. I guess the law looks the other way when you're a big fancy mayor who saved the city some money.
