As is the case with UFO's, extraordinary claims, require extraordinary evidence.
And just as the UFOology game draws the ratbags from left right and center, so to does claims of ghosts, spirits, fairies, goblins etc...Andy1033 is a case in point.

Very true. Here we are past year 2000 and I would have hoped that by now those with Internet access would have been past all that. Actually, *most* are beyond that kind of foolishness - but we'll always have some Andy1033s with us. Unfortunately, no country that I'm aware of has laws against mental defects or just plain stupidity.

Some sceptics of the UFO phenom are like this as well. Therefore I make it my job to know more than them on the subject, so that when I do speak about UFO's to someone, I can do so efficiently and with facts.

Some sceptics, don't recognize these facts nor acknowledge any evidence. I believe it has more to do with the self-security of the proposal that aliens have been visiting us. To even entertain the notion for a second for some, is not only unbelievable, but a scary notion.

I don't know what is so outlandish about the prospect of ET's visiting us in the first place. Most scientists agree there are very likely many very advanced ET's out there. Considering the vastness of space the odds are in their favor. Why couldn't they be visiting us? As with ghosts the eyewitness accounts abound.

What we understand is possible, is not what the sceptic listens to. The reason why, isn't because we cannot maintain a reasonable argument for the notion of alien life, but that the notion is of itself alone alien to our understanding. This is why many don't believe... what we call ''out of this world,'' is indeed ''out of this mind,'' for many.

There have been con artists with us since humans started making money so that when they can make money selling their nonsense like UFO's or ghosts they don't need to work , they get paid for their lying and deceit. Since they never can have any valid solid object that are from another world they can dupe people into believing anything. Look at TV programs that are based on the paranormal and see how much they are earning as well as movies. It's all a bunch of WOO WOO and if people want to believe in that well that's up to them but I never will.

That's the fallacy of "since something can be hoaxed it must all be a hoax." Shall we assume medical science is a hoax too since there are so many quacks out there touting their fake cures?

"In 1935, physicists Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen used the theory of general relativity to propose the existence of "bridges" through space-time. These paths, called Einstein-Rosen bridges or wormholes, connect two different points in space-time, theoretically creating a shortcut that could reduce travel time and distance." - See more at: http://www.space.com/20881-wormholes.html#sthash.N4H9yfYw.dpuf

But real science has never had any fear of the alien and the undefined. It's entire progress might even been seen as a bold encroachment upon this shadowy territory. If anything fear of the alien expresses the insular security that religion gives one in an uncertain universe. The assumption that everything is already well-understood and known and nothing out there can really take us by surprise. That's why I think skeptics are really just using science as a faith-based dogma in which there is moral value in adhering to. Watch how fast skeptics become hostile and mocking of any possibility of ufos, ghosts, psychic powers, etc. That's a righteous indignation typical more of the religious than of the truly curious. IOW, when you can't argue against something, ad hom it to death.

I can see you are quite misinformed on the UFO subject. Quite badly by the looks of things.

There was a damaging stigma after project Grudge and Blue Book that science is against the idea of aliens in general. I have an entire chapter in my book which proves this isn't the case.

It's not that skeptics don't think there is alien life, they just think it would be very extraordinary and highly unlikely for them to come visit us, given the distances involved even to the nearest star. There is also the fact that the evidence for alien life being here on Earth is far from compelling, a bunch of shaky blurry images from questionable sources.

That's all very theoretical. It could take more energy to make one than any species is capable of harnessing.

The book isn't finished yet. I did post some chapters in the UFO forum. I was generous, I ended up posted three unedited chapters.

When the book comes out, be sure to buy it. It is called 'The Day Before Disclosure.'

Yes and this is why they are wrong. If you are travelling at near the speed of light (very capable of any advanced alien civilization) it would only take a four years to get to here from Alpha Centauri.
