I see, magic is just magical technology we don't know about yet. Got it.

One moonless night (very dark in the room) i woke up to go to the bathroom... on my way back i noticed the bedroom door was about half closed so i pushed to open it an met resistance... ah ha... my wife was behind the door playin a trick on me... so i carefuly reached behind the door an felt nuthin but air... so i reached lower an still nuthin but air... i then looked at the bed an coud see her layin thar... ther was no one else in the house an we didnt have any pets at the time... an yet... when i pushed the door it was pushin back.!!!

I suspect that most of us have had "strange" type of experiences.!!!

Your sentence doesn't relate at all to my first comment it's also not particularly relevant to my second.
Nor does it shed light in any way on what you meant in the first place.

Don't think my words don't make sense you just lack understanding, which is there to be had. You have learn your knowledge. We don't not know, we are knowing. Coming to know, or learning.

    You rarely make sense.
Under this name or your previous one.

    Obviously.

Still doesn't explain what you meant by "learning his material", nor how your comment relates AT ALL to your claim that "Faith is like magic".

The one for me that sticks in my mind is when I was in Pioneer camp at the Hartman Center Church Camp - we were staying in A-Frame "cabins" out in the woods in the camp (several acres of thick woods)... I was, if memory serves, between 10 and 12 at the time. It was probably around 1am, and I had to use the bathroom - which was a few hundred yards away - the bathroom buildings had a light on them so they were easy to find, but we were still supposed to go with a buddy, just in case.

Well, nobody in my a-frame would wake their lazy bones up and go with me (and I wasn't about to wake the "adult chaperon", he was a rather interesting 20 something who... was predicated to being VERY grumpy if woken up unexpectedly) so I went on my own. Got there, did my business, and headed back in what I thought was the direction of the campsite.

About a half hour later I realized I was absolutely and totally lost, having found myself near a lake that I hadn't seen before (it was my first year at the camp - the lake I later found out was actually only a few thousand yards away, but yeah, I'd been walking in COMPLETELY the wrong direction). As any good double-digit-midget would do, I sat down and began to sulk at the edge of the lake.

Much to my surprise, a middle aged lady placed her hand on my shoulder and asked me if I was alright. I didn't think much of it at the time, but her outfit was a bit old-fashioned, especially for her apparent youth, and her eyes had a glinting sparkle to them that shined when she smiled, despite having only the waxing moon and the stars to illuminate her face. I told her I had gotten lost and couldn't find my way back to the pioneer camp, and she told me it would be alright, to follow her- that she would lead me back to the camp and that this wasn't the first time she'd "found a youngin got turned 'round in woods at night".

Sure enough, she lead me right back to the cabin. I thanked her and climbed up and in and went back to bed, and that was that.

Fast forward several years and I'm back at the same camp, staying in the Stone Cabin as part of the Music and Drama club. There's a picture on the wall that catches my eye... it was the same lady that had brought me back to camp several years ago! You couldn't mistake her smile for anything! I asked our camp leaders (one of whom was our church pastor at the time) who it was in the picture and mentioned that I had met her...

They were... well, flabbergasted to say the least. You see, the person in the picture was Rachel Hartman...

Who had left the 200 acres the camp was built upon to the White Memorial Congregational Church of Milroy when she died in 1932... sixty six years before I was born.

I told them about what had happened that night in Pioneer Camp - apparently, I'm not the only one this has happened with. Rumor has it her spirit remained to watch over the land, to make sure it was used well and, when the camp was founded, to watch over the youth and children of the camp.

It's weird... looking back on the memories of that incident, I can notice certain things that didn't really occur to me at the time... such as the fact that she was so very easy to see despite it being pretty dark. She was pale... even her skirt/dress, which was black, looked almost washed out... and while her smile certainly reached her eyes, there was a tiredness to them that almost seemed out of place; at the time I thought it was just because it was so late at night...

Was this the spirit of Rachel Hartman, leading me back to my camp...? I can't say for certain... but the one thing that confuses me more than anything about this encounter?

Her footsteps made absolutely no sound as she walked, despite the fallen leaves and twigs and pinecones strewn about the path... I don't mean she walked quietly... she was absolutely silent.

*shrugs* It isn't the only unexplained phenomenon I've encountered... but it's certainly the one that sticks in my memory the most. Unlike most ghost stories though, there was no "chill" about her... I can't say that her hand was warm, but it wasn't cold either... and it was most certainly tangible, though I will say it didn't quite seem normal either...

    *shrugs again*

Because you said magic is non existent, or something we don't know. It's something we have to learn, we are coming to know it, it's not non-existence its the essence of birth... Like magic.

Good story. There's many such personal accounts like this. Often a ghost will look and sound just like a solid person. Alas, Sarkus would say it was a reflection of the moonlight off the lake. lol!

    Oh yeah.
    The Hull Daily Mail.
Reporting stories from and about the population of Hull.
A city so rational that huge numbers of the population were telephoning the local police to report a "major UFO sighting" for nearly 3 weeks after it had been front page news.
The same front page news, incidentally where it had been also pointed that it wasn't a UFO at all but the lighting system installed for the grand opening of a new shopping centre.

Spidergoat - I'm only going to say this once - do not presume to lecture me on what did or did not happen in my life. I have no grief with you... but one of the quickest ways to take me past angry and fly right on by pissed off is to try and act like you "know me" better than I know myself.

    Capisci?

Your just making my sentences in fragments and confusing things. I don't follow any of this anymore.
