    The pic I posted shows the option which allows you to view other people's signature. Like the others I have no "Signature" setting like shown in Dr_Toad's pic, and I don't see a place where I can add a signature.

    Maybe that's an option for people other than us regular people. Maybe Dr_Toad knows something we don't?

    What's with the auto-resizing of images? It's annoying when your image turns out stretched-out. See above...

    The drop down when you hover over your name(top right). It's the second item down on that list.

    Yeah, a legitimate sig is automatic, not this having to manually insert text or image at the bottom of each post one makes.

    I don't want to see members' avatars. How do I disable?

    Haven't seen any sign of such yet (if disabling signatures doesn't include that as part of its package). Disabling javascript doesn't stymie them (that would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater, anyway). Some forums out there do occasionally try to accommodate people with dial-up or slow processors or having the bandwidth at Frank's Hamburgers gobbled up by sharing with other customers, but this isn't one of them so far.

    Edit addition: In the past, browsers offered the option to disable all images on webpages, but just glancing over preferences I don't see that now (on Firefox, anyway). I suspect using a proxy and their specific checkbox eliminations of resource-hungry this and thats would foul-up attempts to routinely log-in (as well as the free ones stealing passwords and other information).

    You can still disable all images in firefox, you just require using the "About:Config" page and changing the value of permissions.default.image from "1" to "2"

    Deactivation of javascript was supposed to have been moved some months back to Firefox's config, too [when not using the easy JS-switch addon]. Killing all images and JS together would render an amply sterile SciForums for those trapped in Slowville; though, again, too many board functions would be missing for one to probably desire the latter. [Especially after the changes of the recent makeover; the workability of the old SF was hardly affected when JS was disabled.]

    I switched browsers from Internet Explorer to Chrome a few days ago and now all my websites and images load very fast. I recommend them highly..

    IE is the #1 browser in the world only because it comes packaged with Windows and businesses prefer it. For years many older users weren't aware that anything else was even available, unless their kids directed them elsewhere. Most malware picked-up online targets IE, which keeps Microsoft hopping out those security updates. The world would probably still be stuck with something like IE6 if rival browsers hadn't been around to offer new developments and competition.

    A pre-Firefox mozilla browser from the late 1990s is what webtv used. After Microsoft bought webtv out, there weren't anymore attempts to update the original boxes to a newer browser (just kept patching the old one). Their own MSNTV2 received an Internet Explorer (no way they would use any other browser but their own, anyway).

    I noticed similar about the delete button (or did I just imagine there was such a thing for awhile last week?). Recollect the like button getting zapped circa the weekend and it may be gone for good.

    I disabled likes, simply because we didn't have that "social network" feature before. But, if you want it back it can be restored.

    I would like that. Rather than responding to every good post, a "thanks" button is a nice thing to have.

    Links still need to visibly be fixed, you'll need to add to the css.php (possibly in the templates)

    Code:
    a.internalLink:link,active,hover,visited{
    font-style:italic;
    text-decoration:underlined;
    }

    The above will add to the Anchor class a Pseudoclass of internalLink (which is already applied to Anchor "class" links but there isn't an entry explaining what to do from the CSS)
    This pseudo-class add's both an Italic font and underlining to links.

    How it would look is like below e.g.
    Sciforums.com

    You could edit the entries for global usage of anchors:

    Code:
    a:link,visited,active,hover{
    ...
    }
    However this will likely cause problems within the template, as showing anchors could put borders around images etc (unless that has been disabled by the CSS) So the first example is actually be best way to "Localise" the effect to just inserted links.

    Thank you Stryder. We'll fix the links.

    This new format is settling in well.
    Has there been an increase in posts, or is that my imagination?

    There was a bit of a "like" craze erupting.
    Everyone was liking everything.
    That wouldn't have lasted long, but it might have created work for someone.
