For the sake of argument, let's pretend that bigfoot is real.

    Now what?

Until we get some real, actual scientifically verifiable and hard evidence to prove this "knowledge" we're still suck at square one - so absolutely nothing has changed in the slightest.

We have no way to place bigfoot's location in the primate/hominid family tree because we have no DNA to analyse, we have no way of charting bigfoot's evolutionary history or migration patterns because there's no fossil evidence to study, and there's no way of convincing anyone else that bigfoot is real because we have - you guessed it - no hard physical evidence.

    So, what now?

We do what Bigfoot researchers are doing now. Actively studying and interacting with Bigfoot in the wild and learning about it. Many researchers are studying the shelters and tree breakages they leave. Others are leaving food and gifts for them. And having gifts left for them. Still others, as cited in the OP, study the species over a number of years on site and gather valuable information about their habits.

We have footprints, video, audio, DNA evidence, and eyewitness sightings. That's pretty scientific if you ask me.

We already have one verified DNA study showing it to be a human primate hybrid. With all the many researchers now gathering DNA evidence, it will only be a matter of time until more DNA is tested and studied. The research is progressing. We'll see what they turn up.

The evidence is posted all thru out this thread. You are claiming it is hoaxed. Prove it. Hell, I'll even make it easier on you. Just prove the study cited in the OP was a big hoax. How did they do it? What were their motives, seeing they spent 4 years in a cabin gathering evidence of Bigfoot? Go ahead and present your evidence it was all hoaxed. You must have real reasons for believing this. You can't just make up a claim that it was a hoax and expect people to believe you. That'd be like a creationist claiming evidence for evolution is a hoax without proving it was hoaxed.

Oh I wasn't just warned about my post. I was banned for it for 3 days by Kittamaru. That's the sort of bullshit I go thru here all the time. He whines and bitches about my totally legit posts, insults me as being dishonest, and then bans me for it. Needless to say, I've taken this up with James R.

I've got a motive: $ from gullible people, pseudo celebrity and a cult following denouncing doubters and feeding the ego.

The title of the thread suggests intrigue with regards to Bigfoot.
It's certainly intriguing trying to figure out how any level headed human being in the second decade of the 21st century, can accept that any illusion/fraud such as this exists.

So the organization (the North American Wood Ape Conservancy) that conducted the field study is making $ off of people? How much? And what sort of celebrity do they enjoy? I've never heard of them until I found out about this study online. As far as "feeding the ego"? Hell, what DOESN'T feed the ego? Everything anyone does in life "feeds the ego".

They are lionized and promoted by people like yourself.
Yep. They just found a better way than most.

I just posted an article on their study. I hardly thinks this constitutes "celebrity".

I don't think anyone goes around bragging about hunting bigfoot. Would you?

Now what? Now, Bigfoot dies somewhere, alone and unloved, and the species dies with it.

Where are the remains? Why is the DNA evidence unable to be substantiated? Why can nobody provide a picture that doesn't look like it was taken with a coffee can?

    Something doesn't add up here...

Already said what kind of celeb status they enjoy. Pseudo celebrity. Also, do you dispute that Dyer got loads of money out of dumb people wanting to see 'Hank'?

'Hank' was a fucking hoax btw.

Since when do we go digging in the deep woods? And to answer why the eyewitnesses didn't go dig it up, perhaps they were scared, very reasonable, you would be too, and if they were off the beaten trail they may not remember exactly where it was. We don't know how deep they may be buried either. And of course it could be that they were mistaken, but the obvious explanation if Bigfoot exists to where the remains are is buried.

Give it time. Sykes is doing great work. Come back after 10 years and we still have nothing.

    Uh, quite often actually.

There is even a national hobbiest/preservation group for archaeological digs in forests...

Uh huh... so all the hunters and such who have claimed to see BigFoot never had the presence of mind to bag it and tag it?

*shrugs* All I'm saying is any legitimate evidence can be gone over by multiple groups and shown to be real... it's how science works.

Nope. None of that so-called "evidence" is anywhere near good enough for any self respecting scientist.

You're making the claim, I don't believe the claim - therefore hoax.

If anyone is acting like a creationist, it's you - making claims, refusing to provide proof that even approaches the scientific standard for acceptable evidence, and whining when nobody buys your BS.

IOW, you have no evidence to back up your claim. LOL! And here you strut around waving the banner of science. Case closed.

Wow..so anyone who hoaxes something and makes money off it means that whole field of study is a sham. How many prehistoric skeletons were hoaxed? Does that mean paleontologists are all con artists just out to make a buck?

Get enough suckers to do that and they are indeed celebrities in their own circles. Every celebrity is made a celebrity by people worshiping them one at a time.
No, nor would I brag that I believed every bit of woo that comes around. But you seem to brag about such things, so clearly some people are very much into woo.

    Indeed. Bigfoot isn't real.

You're just dragging us around in circles, MR. Does this thread need to stay open?

Where did I brag about it? I post evidence for it in the subforum devoted to discussing that topic. Is that bragging about it?

You seem to take pride in your gullibility and jump directly to believing every unsubstantiated piece of woo you get told, whether it be flying saucers, ghosts, or bigfoot, regardless of any lack of evidence. It's like you have a personal grudge against the scientific method.
