    OK.
International report confirms: 2014 was Earth’s warmest year on record

Climate change is the symptom; global warming is the cause.

What do you mean by your statement? It makes no sense to me.

    Expand your thinking here.

    1) Investigate what? Those assertions? The first step is to make sure, given Poe's Law, that you are sincere. The second would be to attempt to discover where such fantasies came from. The first step in that would be asking you; so: from where and whom did you get those opinions? You did not derive them from observation of physical reality, because there is no such reality to observe; they are too coherent and organized to be random gleanings from bus stop conversations and typographical errors in wastebasket newspaper headlines; so what or who is their source?

    2) Why should I do a lot of work to investigate such claims? They're your claims - if you have investigated, you can easily and quickly inform us (a couple of short sentences would do, about where to look etc); if you have not investigated, it would be your job.

The increased lower atmospheric trapping of solar energy by recently boosted CO2 concentrations ( "global warming") has caused and will cause the climates of various regions of the planet to change. Is this mysterious to you?

So no information for us, no argument, no evidence, no consideration of the content of quoted posts, not even the easy link to wherever you are getting these Kochworld claims from,

    and no surprise.

Have you figured out the statement that was puzzling you, above? The one about climate change being a symptom of global warming?

"Climate change is the symptom; global warming is the cause."

We know that the globe is warming; we can read a thermometer. What effects are caused by that warming? Arctic ice melting, increased frequency of severe weather, etc. That's what we see and it doesn't take much effort to see the connection, does it?

If you want more specifics, ask more specific questions.

35 C (95F) wet bulb is lethal to humans (and most animals that cool by sweating) in less than an hour.
People are now dying by more than a 1000 in several heat waves in 2015 already.

    Caption was:
" In this June 23, 2015 photo, people rush a patient to a hospital suffering from heatstroke in Karachi, Pakistan. June was warm nearly all over, with exceptional heat in Spain, Austria, parts of Asia, Australia and South America. Pakistan reported a June heat wave that killed more than 1,200 people, which according to an international database would be the 8th deadliest in the world since 1900."
Not a pleasant way to die but more will each year for the foreseeable future. One photo may tell the conditions more than data by the thousands.

I wish the "like" button wasn't such an evil thing in this context, but thank you.

What's more important is the ability to go back and forth. Don't do what you can't undo.

Do you always sit on your hands and fail to act until everybody else is on the bandwagon before you?

The ones that are true are.

It's an indelible quality of nature that the Earth is warming right now due to human activities. Get with the programme! Don't wait for everybody else to think and act for you. Have some initiative, Mr. G!

What a convenient excuse you have, then, for making zero effort. Look out for number one, eh, Mr. G?

You speak for the USA? Who elected you President?

Imagine if in 1992 someone said "I won't take ozone destruction seriously until those who say that it is being depleted by CFCs give up their home refrigerators, and automotive air conditioners". It would have made no difference - the problem was solved by an international agreement that forced CFCs to be replaced by alternative refrigerants, not by individuals giving up the comfort and convenience of automotive and home air conditioning and refrigerators. And the same thing is needed now. To engage in absurd hyperbole, if every proponent of anthropogenic climate change committed suicide tomorrow, the difference made in the problem would be immeasurably small.

I suspect his comment "The 8th is upon us" is a reference to the seven seals. Often the term "the 8th seal" is used to reference the end of the Apocalypse as described in Revelation. Presumably the decomposing lamb with seven horns and seven eyes previously opened the previous seven seals as described in that book, unleashing all manner of earthquakes and calamities, along with the Four Horsemen. It is popular in some religious circles to ascribe various current events to the events in Revelation (for example, "Saddam Hussein was the Pale Horse of Death, and was the last of the Horsemen, so the end is nigh!")

Well at least you identified the source of your posting. But we've seen a lot of that guy around here, and he does not improve with repetition.

Why are you still posting links to that bullshitter?

I actually read some of it, one of the other times you wasted bandwidth like that. And took the time and effort to respond. Others have as well. All apparently ignored.

What's the point of people spending yet more time and effort reading and researching drivel like that, if you aren't going to pay attention anyway? Especially if you have no argument of your own, or point to make,

a trait increasingly common among the climate denialists, btw. The "bare link" phenomenon has spread from the creationists.

Tim Ball? Ah yes. He's one of the clumsier paid shills of the fossil fuel industry. He was caught lying about his resume; since then few people (other than deniers) have taken him seriously. From an article about him on the DeSmogBlog:

    =============
But Ball can’t even tell the truth about his own resume. His claim to be the first Climatology Ph.D. in Canada is a total falsehood; his degree was in historical geography - not climatology - and it was nowhere near the first ever granted to someone writing vaguely in the field. It also was granted by the university as a doctor of philosophy, not the more prestigious “doctor of science” that Ball claims in these articles.

He claims as well to have been a professor (again of climatology) at the University of Winnipeg for 32 years, while he confirmed in his own Statement of Claim in a pending lawsuit (look here ) that he was a professor (of geography, never climatology) for just eight years.

Dr. Ball claims never to have been paid by oil and gas interests, but if you look here , you’ll find a Globe and Mail story in which Dr. Barry Cooper, the man behind Ball’s former industry front group, the Friends of Science , offers this clumsy admission: “[The money’s] not exclusively from the oil and gas industry,” says Prof. Cooper. “It’s also from foundations and individuals. I can’t tell you the names of those companies, or the foundations for that matter, or the individuals.”
