If reality is anything that exists, then isnt imagination real? Its something we can do and is allowable within the confines of the laws of the universe. It occurs and does not hinder it in any fashion. therefore it is a form of reality. This universe could be a thought.
Hmmm.... But there is a distinction between imagination and reality. Reality is ; imagination ; imagins
Yes. Imagination exists. What is imagined doesn't necessarily exist, though. It's real in the imagination, though. Er... I'm getting confused.
If things you can imagine that can't be done in physical reality exist in your imagination, you could bring them into story telling reality.
Probaly. And reality ends quickly for them if a wingsuiter touches the ground accidentally in flight. But then they know if heaven and hell are real. Or just imagined.
Maybe reality is simply perception. What is real for me might not be real for you. Worked with people who could hear and see things that were not real...or real from my perspective.
Laws of the Universe have yet to be determined; there is so much , much , much.....more we need to observe and experience ; Exploration is so....important. How can the Universe be a thought ?
Reality remains undefined. For the moment we define it, we are no longer with it but in a bubble of abstractions and words. Reality therefore may very well be the equivalent of the Undefineable in our experience. It is not a value. It is a variable. Thinking only brings us near to it in a roundabout way, but never in direct contact with it.
I agree but disagree Reality is life and non-living. The Universe gives what life needs ; a place to take hold; to grow ; a place to stand on; so to speak. Yet life potential is in every atom. It's just a matter of configuration of the molecule and the enviroment in which it is in.
Have a look at this http://cosmoquest.org/forum/showthread.php?153299-The-last-and-final-argument-about-reality
IMO, this conversation misses the point that each individual has only a relative connection with reality and in fact there are as many *perceived* realities as there are observers. I propose that our *mirror neural network* and how it subjectively interprets reality is responsible for different interpretatios of reality..
