Hallucinate is your word. I have corrected you several times.
Since you claim it doesn't happen and I never claimed it did, you can stop avoiding the primary assertion - which you started this thread about.

The debate still stands at: description of ghostly apparitions and the detail thereof must first pass muster of the fallibility of normal human perception, memory and processing, especially under adverse circumstances.

You have made the claim that these apparitions are real. The onus lies on you to show that what we already know about human perception does not explain them. You'll have to know about human perception (including using valid terms) to do so.

Have you done any reading on human perception?

You've been presented with a number of examples where perception causes one to see things that aren't there.

There are a hundred more such examples. But at some point, you have to stop taking my word for it, and do some reading on your own.

And you're still using that word. It is a straw man. One of the most desperate fallacious tactics in a losing debate.

And you have failed to support your claim that it is a fact that normal people hallucinate full bodied persons walking in front of them. Are you retracting that claim finally?

Third time--seeing something that is not there is the definition of hallucination. Dictionary confirms it.

I have made no such claim.

You have lost this point. It would behoove you to move on to a better point, or stand refuted.

Not whole people walking before them as you claimed. You failed to give any example of that.

    Your word.
Seeing something that is not there is also the definition of fallible human perception.

And, unlike you, I'm not talking hypothetically. I have proven it to you with your own eyes.

You're not hallucinating; you're just human.

I just quoted where you said it was a fact. Are you lying now just to cover your ass?

Nope..that's the definition of hallucination. Dictionary agrees.

Dude, you have totally lost, and are running in circles.

Time to close this thread as 'solved'.
[EDIT] Time to close this thread as 'resolved unless new evidence is submitted '.

You could not support your claim, you tried to change the definition of hallucinate, and now you lie that you never made the claim. I didn't have to win this debate. You destroyed your own argument on your own. Hint: don't make claims you can't support.

There have now been over 130 posts in this thread. In there, you have made a claim at least 2 dozen times about witnesses seeing human, full-body 3D moving apparitions, right in front of them, without distraction or other interference.

In all that time, we have yet to see you back that up and present such a case for examination.

So far, everything you've claimed has been hypothetical.

So let's be sure we're all talking about the same thing.

Present your evidence of a witness seeing human, full-body 3D moving apparition, right in front of them without distraction or other interference.

Not until you support your claim that people hallucinate full bodied persons walking in front of them. That's what this entire thread has been about. You making that claim and failing to support it. And now you are lying that you never made it. Why would you argue that people hallucinate these things if you didn't already believe the op that people see these apparitions? Methinks someone is being disengenous again.

You started this thread. The onus is on you to present the evidence of your claims. There is nothing to counter-claim yet. It has all been a hypothetical.

Show us that your claims are backed up by evidence or I will request the thread be closed as unsubstantiated by the OP.

I've already provided accounts, audio, and photos of ghosts. You would've noticed if you hadn't been so obsessed with arguing that people hallucinate people walking in front of them.

Which one specifically is your exemplar?

Your OP doesn't match your recounting. Neither do your accounts of animals.

Was there a reference I missed on page 4 or after? There are no other references in the fist 50 posts of this thread. (One of the irritating things about SciFo is that text links in messages are virtually invisible unless you roll over them. So it is entirely possible that the fault lies with me in missing some text link that you posted).

Please pick a specific one, your favorite, so that we can be sure we have been discussing an actual account, not some hypothetical one.

Here's a compelling account of paranormal activity complete with sightings of full body apparitions. Note the hallmarks of a haunting: multiple witnesses, the restriction of the activity to one building, sights AND sounds, and even material evidence like doors opening, electrical glitches, and footprints.

Here's another compelling account by a famous actress of being contacted after the death of her lifelong friend. Stories like these, of being contacted by loved ones right after their death, are numerous and very convincing. And there is no compelling reason to think people would lie about stuff like this. It's too personal and almost spiritual in nature:

I myself had my own personal experience of afterdeath contact when my mother died. I was sitting in her senior ctr room by her bed and had just told her to move on, which she did in a matter of moments. Then I called my sister to tell her the news. When I hung up the nurse brought me her cell phone and the hospice nurse talked to me and comforted me. The second she hung up the cell phone rang. It only rang once. Not knowing what to do, I walked out to the hall and gave it to the cleaning lady. She looked at the phone and the caller ID said my mother's name "Lisa"!

Now this could certainly be dismissed as coincidence, but my mom and I had previously made a special agreement that she would give me a sign when she crosses over. I even joked with her to not make it too scary. I am convinced to this day she did exactly that.

And why do you think those are genuine?
