Not surprisingly the Trump campaign is being more than a little deceitful here. Roger Ailes is advising and helping Trump directly, but isn't helping Trump's campaign.

The bottom line is still the same. Trump is buddying up with a man who was forced to resign because he was sexually harassing his employees, and that man is advising Trump.

The Donald keeps it coming. Now "The Donald" says the polls are rigged.

Republicans are early this year with that excuse. They rolled that excuse out last presidential election cycle but it was really late in the game. Republicans are telling their base they shouldn't believe the polls because the polls are rigged. In 2012 they invented their own polling which showed Republicans always win and were surprised when they lost. Republican always win polling didn't work for them in 2012 and it won't work now. It won't prevent them from losing elections. It's just another of the many lies they tell themselves every day.

    http://www.salon.com/2016/08/21/the...-data-denial-is-in-full-throttle-at-fox-news/

The funny thing is, when the polls favored Trump he never asserted they were "rigged". He began every speech by boasting about his polling numbers. But now, when the polling numbers show him losing, suddenly those same polls are rigged.

It's funny how that works. And Trump calls Hillary a liar...?

The New York Times came out with a very good article on Trump's finances. It turns out Trump's companies are indebted to The Bank of China to the tune of nearly a billion dollars and to Goldman Sachs.

"For example, an office building on Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, of which Mr. Trump is part owner, carries a $950 million loan. Among the lenders: the Bank of China, one of the largest banks in a country that Mr. Trump has railed against as an economic foe of the United States, and Goldman Sachs, a financial institution he has said controls Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, after it paid her $675,000 in speaking fees." http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/21/us/politics/donald-trump-debt.html

The Southern Strategy that will never die..........

When Trump made Breitbart News CEO Steve Bannon his campaign’s chief executive last week, Taylor found reasons to celebrate. It was the latest sign for white nationalists, once dismissed as fringe, that their worldview was gaining popularity and that the old Republican Party was coming to an end.

    ===

“What the GOP needs to do is Southernize the white vote,” Brimelow said. “You need to have everybody in the country voting the way that Southern whites vote.”

‘Racialists’ are cheered by Trump’s latest strategy
Just for clarity we understand Trump's new campaign manager is Steve Bannon and ..“Under Bannon’s leadership, Breitbart openly embraced the white supremacist Alt-Right,” former Breitbart Editor-at-large and currently editor-in-chief of the Daily Wire Ben Shapiro wrote.

Trump was being smart, because his previous campaign manager; Manafort, was being investigated on trumped up charges of corruption, even though he was a private citizen who has the right to sell his talents in the global market; Ukraine. This is an obvious distraction to get the focus away from Hillary's selling influence, overseas, on tax payer company time; Secretary of the State. Hillary was doing a far worse thing, exposing national security secrets. Her campaign is trying to create a parallel with their usual spin and deception, as though private sector money making is the same a using the public sector for money making.

Trump decided to demote, but retain Manafort, to neutralize the impact of the distraction. Yet he will retain Manafort, for advice behind the scenes. Trump can't depend on the media to do their job and point out the Clinton tactic, seeing she is paying the liberal media more than him; mercenary media.

The media bias should be neutralized by equating what they sales pitch as a function of competence. They don't lie on purpose but rather are not that bright and draw the wrong conclusion. The liberal media has shown a high level of incompetence; as reflected by analyzing after the facts are in.

Trumped up charges? Where is your evidence of this?

Where is your evidence of this?

I find your posts to be the definition of incompetence. You make ridiculous claims with no evidence. You buy into every nonsense claim conjured up by Fox and friends and post with no regard for the facts.

Now it has been reported by multiple sources and his campaign manager has stated Trump is reconsidering his forced deportation squads. Well, that's interesting. Forced deportation of nearly 12 million illegal aliens has been the center-point of Trumps campaign. For more than a year now The Donald has been preaching forced deportation. He promised his supporters he will build a wall and Mexico will pay for it. He has promised his supporters he would forcibly deport all nearly 12 million illegal aliens in this country. As recently as a few days ago i.e. Friday, that he would never lie to his followers.

And now on Monday, just a few days later, we find Trump is "considering" backing away from his campaign pledges. Well, that is indeed news.

Except, Hannity has in the past claimed to be a journalist. When it suits him he will claim to be a journalist. I've heard him do it. And when it doesn't, he denies it.

    Hannity certainly isn't a journalist. He's a party propagandists.

He's cancelled his "big" speech on immigration that was to happen this week.

"We have to be very firm, we have to be very, very strong when people come in illegally," Trump told Fox & Friends, later adding that "we're working with a lot of people in the Hispanic community to try and come up with an answer."
He and his current "outstanding" people are trying hard to figure this out. They've done the math and figured you can't win with just the white vote. He will need at least some African-American and some Latino votes. So how can you do that while still bashing them to the delight of your base? The base thinks they can win without them. Kellyanne knows he can't. She also knows he will need some women voters. So expect some lip service for women in the next week or two.

Why Kellyanne Conway's Release of Trump 2.0 Will Likely Fail

He isn't trying to win the "ethnic" vote. He is trying to appear to not be a racist, enough to appeal to college-educated whites.

By claiming he is going to win 95% of the black vote in four years, he obviously thinks college-educated whites are all idiots. You really have to laugh again when you consider that Obama only got 93% of the black vote.

That is the main goal I'm sure to convince "some" he's not racist. So he's meeting with Latino groups this week to discuss immigration. One has to wonder what exactly either hopes to get out of that given Donald's base want's red meat and not a lite salad.

I listened to Republican radio a bit this afternoon. Trump's followers are confused. They don't know what to think. But some of them are feeling they have been lied to. This really isn't that difficult. Trump either is for the forced deportation or he isn't. It really is that simple. He has been advocating forced deportation for more than a year. It has been the cornerstone of his campaign. He's managed to get his private parts stuck in a wringer just as Romney and McCaine before him. But he has done a much better job of it. He has really got them in there. Now how he gets out of it is a bit of mystery. I guess he will need the next few weeks to figure a way out. Good job Donald.

Darn the reality that he wouldn't be able to do anything he promised was supposed to only happen after he got elected not before. He's in quite a jam now. Might be time to fire someone.

And he wasn't "smart" when he didn't vet the guy in the first place? Or did Putin tell him to hire the guy?

    Do you have evidence of:
    • Her selling influence
    • Exposing national security secrets

I don't know how much more of this "smartness" the Trump campaign can sustain. Changing leadership every 2 months isn't generally considered smart. Historically it's a sign of "dumbness", ineptitude and chaos. Hillary nor any other Democrat had anything to do with Trump's problems. Trump's problems are all self inflicted by his "smartness".

Here is the other thing, honesty isn't spin. It's just honesty. But given how frequently Republicans lie, I can easily see how they would be confused by the truth.

Well, you don't know what or why Trump did something. Credible reports have it Trump asked Manafort to resign immediately after saying he would continue with the campaign but in a less position. We may never know what truly happened behind the scenes. I have no doubt Trump doesn't want his Russian connections exposed or talked about. I have no doubt Trump doesn't want his ties with corruption and corrupt individuals known. That's probably why he terminated Manafort.

If you mean Trump can't rely on the media misrepresent the truth about him, well, that is true. The media isn't like Fox News. The "media" reports all the news. The "media", unlike Fox News and Republican entertainment, is fair and balanced. Just because the "media" is fair and balanced, it doesn't make the media liberal. It just makes it fair and balanced.

Just because the "media" isn't in the tank for the Republican Party as if Fox News and Republican talk radio and certain websites, that doesn't make it liberal or unfair.

Yeah, they just draw the "wrong" conclusion. That kind of reminds me of totalitarian states. They said the same things. They put people in gulags and psychiatric hospitals because they drew the "wrong" conclusions too. I guess that explains why the Republican Party is in bed with Mother Putin, and Mother Putin loves the Republican Party and its candidate.

Truth and reason aren't incompetence, but unfortunately they are antithetical to the modern Republican Party. Truth isn't a bias. It may be alien to Republicans and usually is, but it is just the truth.

Well it appears The Donald has done a complete reversal of his forced deportation plan. His new plan sounds a lot like Obama's old plan. Donald revealed his new plan on Fox News.

I listened a bit to Republican talk radio today. Callers were very upset, but the hosts were dutifully reminding callers they really didn't have much choice. It is either The Donald or Hillary at this point.

The guy has very publicly destroyed whatever credibility once had with his base. Now while his core, his base, the people who wouldn't care if he shot someone on the street as he famously boasted, may not care, the majority of people who are not in his base do. And that's a big problem for The Donald. The Donald cannot win with only the 30% of voters who constitute his base.

Now I'm assuming Trump retains his base. That might not be the case. His base may not be as brain dead as I think they are, and if that's the case, we will see a dramatic decline in his polling numbers this week which will likely be followed by another campaign shakeup. The Donald has betrayed his base big time. This was the cornerstone of his campaign.

The Donald’s campaign is in a state of chaos. Trump is behind in national and swing state polling. Republicans are deserting the party and many are moving to the Democratic Party. There is a little over 2 months left in the race, and The Donald has said more than enough stupid stuff to make the debates a miserable debacle for him. His past is catching up with him. I don’t see how he can possibly save his butt.

The only question now, and it’s really not much of a question, is by how much does The Donald lose by? It’s shaping up to be a Democratic landslide.

The irony here is The Donald's campaign ads he rolled out this week are in direct contradiction to his new stance on immigration. The Donald continues to send mixed messages. Trump's gross incompetence, immorality, and stupidity is catching up with him.
