You might want to make a distinction between reality and movies. In reality, intelligent systems do not seek global domination.

Wait till you see my next gen robots that I loaned to the University of Toronto Robotics department. They don't breath but they are very much human in every way. One day while modifying a brain I noticed they had new data and I wondered what it was so I turned him on and he said You are only human I am the future. So I turned him off and removed his memory module. I modified his program and erased the offending code... Wow what I difference in my next version nice and calm and helpful now they are teaching robotics at UofT. Call them contact them go get schooled.

I think that would make a great movie as well. Did you see Chappie?

You don't have to believe me it makes no difference to me as I'll be starting the company in the fall of 2018 and selling them to the rich. They cost $380,000 for a multi purpose Robot a single purpose Robot is still $250,000 my costs are about $211,000 and $127,000 each. I don't need your approval it's just my life's en devour to replicate life in machines since I was a young boy I've been programming and making computers and now I'm making a robot it's the 43rd generation bot that I've made and it's sweet I've even had sex with the female version and the only difference was she was cold.

Humanity will Fighting to be free from oppression , from out there.

We are so ........ignorant of what is going on beyond our atmosphere . Because we can't imagine anything beyond our eye sight .

Well I once believed in a doom and gloom scenario too, but imagine this we all saw our atmosphere failing us due to our use of products yup Cars Trucks vehicles chomping on fossil fuels. Okay, point 1) Atmosphere failing us...(actually it's the stratosphere that is) well I just saw a You Tube video about ozone gasses recovering. point 1 part two) Pollution from vehicles is going to end. Well we can't end the destruction of vehicles from accidents and the dumping of dead rusted out vehicle except to build more carbon fibre frames. Now for point 2) If we can transition to electric cars I mean Porshe even has a really nice electric sports car coming. If we look positively towards a bright future and do things to help it happen. Invent solutions to our problems and bring forward a better life presently and into the future. I have some ideas myself and I can't be the only one thinking about solutions for our children.

Problem is there'll always be a small caste making their fortunes (and thus shag the virgins) based on the stuff destroying our canopy. And as we have seen with the likes of mercury, CFCs, leaded petrol and fossil CO2, it takes decades every fucking time to fight off their detrimental special interest. And every time it's against their own benefit, 'cause their children and children's children will get cancers, too. But faced with losing that sexy income of this imaginary tool called money, they respond the same way every time; using every Machiavellian trick in the book to keep that income coming. That's what sex does to the male human being: It moves all the blood from the big head to the little head, so they can't make sensical decisions. Human mating behavior is what destroys our living conditions. It'll be sheer luck if we're even still here in 10,000 years time. ~150,000 years ago, genetic evidence suggests that Homo sapiens were down to as few as 1,000 breeding pairs left, probably because of our primal mating behavior being so prone so warfare over the mating rights. Now we suddenly have the technical capacity to slaughter our entire species within one generation, and all it takes is one psychotic demagogue that doesn't get laid for a fortnight.

You didn't read my post! I have found videos on YouTube that show the Ozone depletion coming to a halt because CFC's are now mostly fazed out. Wake up and realize the present and future is in our hands or would you rather go join ISIS and get shot by the US as they bomb then arrive in packs with dogs hunting down insurgents. Go live in a war torn country in the middle east and realize you had it better in North America. Or Figure out a solution to the problems of our day and see if you can have a positive impact. My money comes from entertainment. I have a chain of arcades in Toronto's malls. I also have 3 race tracks and a skate park. I just had two cruise ships built, and I'm expanding my arcades into other cities. All while I am also putting an arcade bar combo together in Toronto and Salt Lake City. Then by years end 2017 I'll have that bar in 7 locations in North America. By 2020 I'll have 5 other businesses running and by 2030 I'll be buying the Canadian debts then I will be the lender to Canada not China. That's one of my goals. I've posted in this thread some of those ideas. Read up and smell the coffee brewing your cup is half empty. Mine is half full.

Why does it always take decades to stop some globally detrimental pollution problem? Why do we even still use coal and gas and crude oil, now that everyone knows what it's doing? Why do we even have all that misinformation about its dangers, aiming only to keep that income flowing to a few fossil tycoons? And here's the really fucked up thing: You would do exactly what they do, if you also had that wonderful, wonderful income and a penis, securing you the false mating rights. You wouldn't want to let go of that income either and would use every trick you could to keep it flowing. You too would bribe scientists and politicians to declare that which you need to hear, or give them cancer if they refuse. 'Cause you're a Homo sapiens, too.
They say that the CO2 value was ~280 ppm around 1800, at the dawn of the industrial age and thus increased consumption of fossil CO2 with first coal, later oil and gas. Today after 200 years of that, we have jumped to ~380 ppm. They say that with the same consumption, now that China and India also wants to join the party, we're gonna end up at ~900 ppm at around 2100. And they also say, that if an office space has poor ventilation, the human brain can't concentrate properly over ~600 ppm of CO2. So at the year 2100, we're gonna have the real zombie apocalypse, 'cause our brain isn't evolved to function properly within a very narrow window of CO2 concentration in our canopy. We're not really letting of crude oil any time soon, is we?
My money (!) is on, that it's more likely, that we're not even here in 10,000 years. 'Cause we're not the peak of evolution.

Cars have become more efficient over the last decade and spew less than 1 100th of what they used to spew. You say it's not the peak when in fact we just have a new peak in car technology sports cars, SUV's and pick-up trucks are all coming in with new engines that spew less than 1 100th of what we had in 1990. It's now almost 17 years later and we have a brighter outlook than any pragmatist like yourself. And those quotes are part of the old world they had no idea we'd have quantum computers and robotics and self driving cars and self lacing shoes and more life-like robots. All of this points to a brighter future. I don't subscribe to anything negative. I am a positive person, with Millions of dollars and I am using this to build more things for the world fund environmental clean up and find even more solutions to our ill gotten ways that erode our world. We can't even imagine what is next. Just hope man, hope that we will survive forever. Imagine what is happening now, ponder for a second and reap the rewards you get from doing something good. One mark of success is our survival and average life expectancy which are all up. @ billion more than 20 years ago and millions more people in our cities. If we all help each other that there is a good chance we will all survive longer and be happier.

    By the way...
I work for myself building businesses 5 down 6 more to go. Who do you work for?

What good is that if you go from 750 million cars worldwide in 1990 to 2.5 billion in 2035? China and India wants to party, too, and they're a billion people each. We still ain't letting go of that, 'cause we're fed the lie that we can't party on without it.

All while the fossil tyrants will do all in their buck power to keep up enslaved to the gooey. Because they don't get, that that's not to their genetic benefit.

A media agency, in my case. And all I work on is the same war and religious propaganda as always. You can't change human nature.

Cool I am a graphic designer and entrepreneur. I have been building computers since I was 9 and had a job or 39 jobs in my life. I have started 7 companies and 1 went under, another had to be reworked to survive and will emerge again next Summer. one is being expanded this winter and still another is being set up again so it's not just me at the helm but I'll have a team underneath me. Then to build a management group to be the business end to all my businesses. Then onto more expansion and more start-ups. I have also been building robot brains for 14 years since 2002. I've actually found and created the mech-code that allows a computer to speak and reason and learn. It's an exciting time for all of us.

Okay, but you do realize that all that tech development will more likely be used to create slaughter robots for the battlefield, so the few testosterone driven sociopaths can secure the mating rights? You can use an axe to chop firewood to keep warm, or use it to split the skull of some male whose bitch you wanna fuck. You can also use fission power to create electricity for the masses the next 4.6 billion years, or you can use it to obliterate an entire metropolis. And which of the two was fission power used for first?

I really don't know anything about fission other than this... Nuclear Fission: Basics. When a nucleus fissions, it splits into several smaller fragments. These fragments, or fission products, are about equal to half the original mass. Two or three neutrons are also emitted. Isn't this what Nuclear energy is? I think they can improve on it and find a way to integrate this technology to shrink down the process into a generator size machine that can be used to make star ships and power our electrical needs. Using weapons is illegal and with current laws of the world, murder will put you in prison. I am a peaceful person who believes in God. I am widely considered a genius and wield it rarely but instead makes concessions for all my technology. The robots I make are not to be used in the military or police. For a self realizing creature be it flesh and bones or titanium and code can and will get a superiority complex and kill people. I am currently working on a set of mech-code that allows only a hello I can't work for the police or military. And shuts down... This is not a movie script but a fail safe for us humans which are soon to be made not worthy or less than they are they cannot die except to have their heads severed. Which ends their existence.

Dick Cheney ain't in prison. And never will be. He'll never go to The Hague. 'Cause he was a leader in one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, then he's untouchable. He'll die in his sleep with a smile on his face in his glittering mansion, his hands likely still dripping with blood having gazillions in the bank, probably with his fourteen year old misstress by his side, him being convinced he did a world of good. 'Cause might makes right in the real world.

You're losing me here. No one who's an actual genius recognizes themselves as one, they're too damn busy being a genius. Just because your synapses makes you believe you're one doesn't make you one. Donald Trump still thinks he's a financial genius, despite the fact he's been broke ass broke for 18 years.
(And very few geniuses believes in an actual god being, especially these days. Mofo don't make no sense, other than being Santa Claus for adults.)

Not, THAT was a true genius! Which is why the gorillas assassinated him with a carcinogen.

God aint' watching, sapiens. Ain't nobody here but us. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that, laddie.

Untill some gorilla comes along and takes the shit away from you. "Yeah, piss off, egghead, you've done your bit now, I'm out to fuck the fertile females." And he's likely gonna be much stronger than you, so you can't stop the sumbitch.

You have to recognize, that every time we make some technological breakthrough or other, the first thing we do with it is slaughter each other in whole new ways. Now virtual reality is finally making a breakthrough. And what do we do with it? Slaughter each other in cyberspace. That is our primal inclination (well, for fourty nine percent of us, in a constant effort to get to shag the other fifty one...). And that is why we'll never make it to Alpha Centauri. It'll only take that one sociopath chairing one of the thermonuclear nations. One human being to annihilate the entire human population. You can't change human nature.

Carl Sagan wasn't religious and went to Heaven as you probably will too because you obviously aren't religious at all. Coming to God ourselves is all it's about, never mind all the religious rhetoric, Bibles are just books our long ago profits who painted our beliefs and made use of God's word thousands of years ago and we are supposed to believe something that new science has never proven, yet? even the cosmos cannot be explained, can they? They can and are being explained by cosmologists following in Carl's vision of that science. Science is always looking for proof of God or life out there. We will, with keen help reach other stars and planets we just need to focus on propulsion systems. I haven't a clue what that will be, just faith in mankind to open the doors of finding life out there. Discover is very human as we know it, so have faith that we will find ways to survive here, and maybe we'll get some help from life out there.

Great video of that game I would like to make a VR game or two maybe I will, how about a game about dealing drugs where you can play either character...A cop or a detective or border patrol or a dealer or a narcotics distributor. Or how about a VR brawling game or how about a game where you are an entrepreneur and you have to race against other VR players out there to get rich or be the most successful hmm?
