Yes to both. I don't proof read until I have posted as its all straight off the top... And I don't care close enough is good enough...Actually in this age of texting shorthand I thought I was not too bad. But I know what a "sole" is whereas I am not sure what a "soul" be. I could try and say it was a reference to the pacing one can do after a crisis but no...I am simply slack. Another is I will say "dam" in "place of " damn"... I only use a phone and its difficult to use, that's not an excuse but thanks for taking the time to help I do appreciate my casual approach to the English language must be annoying. I will try and do better. Alex
I am an engineer. Science and engineering are full of bull-shiiit. Many assumptions that do not work at all. Many cheating of data. Too many false knowledge published in journals.
What is sin? If you do not understand it, then wait for someone to kill your mother, to rape your daughter, to ransack your house, to burn down your house etc. Such a silly sinner who denies he is sinner.
Is it silly to ask questions in general, or just those questions? What's silly about those questions?
Look you should not be so harsh on yourself...and if it helps you to talk a little nonsense then go ahead. What sort of juicy insider stuff can you tell us about? Being an engineer I bet you know some stuff. Please share something but no names just some dirt. Again don't punish yourself about being a sinner we can all make mistakes the important thing is to recognise when you have done something wrong and try to be better next time. Keep up your interesting posts. Alex
So you're not satisfied with your job, I take it. Sorry to hear that. You're going off topic here. Maybe this stuff would be better discussed in a separate thread. Previously, I suggested that a sin is an affront to God. Do you agree with that, or disagree? What would be your own definition of sin? How would these things lead to an understanding of sin? Are you thinking of somebody in particular? Tell me (this is important): Why are you here?
Romans 4:7 Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. The righteous man shall live by faith and not by law. This who are under faith, are not under the law. Their sins are covered, since the law does not apply to those twi live by faith. The difference between living by the law and living by faith is faith spontaneous and creative; living spirit. While law, composed of commandments contained in ordinance; law, is cast in stone; inanimate. A good analogy for the difference between faith versus law, would be music. Someone under law in music, would do their best to reproduce a classic song in the exact way it was written; symphony orchestra. They seek perfection in the law of the song. The audience, who has heard the perfect song, will hear the slightest departures from the ideal song, which cause the musician to fall short of perfection; we all have sinned because we can't always be perfect. When it comes to faith, faith is not cast into stone, like sheet music, rather it is a living spirit. In this case, the spirit may cause creative and spontaneous departure from the perfection of the original song written on sheet music. This is a covered sin, because the departure is being led by the spirit. It is not due to will power falling short, but it is due to following an inner hunch. Sometimes a re-do, of an old song, becomes a new classic song. The original choice to remake of the old song; law, will be sinful because it lacks perfection defined by the original sheet music. However, it is covered sin, since the departure organically evolves a new song; lesson of life. The goals of the spirit trumps the law, just as life can assimilate inanimate matter to make it also alive. Jesus made provisions for living by faith, which is called the forgiveness of sins. Say one was living by the spontaneous spirit of faith, and they got drunk one day. Even though drunkenness is defined as sin, this sin will be covered, since that day was inspired by the spirit. This who only know the perfection of the sheet music may not agree. Therefore if one starts to feels guilty, because of an inability to differentiate the spirit, from willful choice or just sloppiness, there is forgiveness of sins, until one learns to know the difference. In the end, faith simplifies the law down to two things, love god and love your neighbor. Love god allows one to become open to the spirit of faith, while love your neighbor helps one not to judge others, since your neighbor may be of the spirit, too; covered sins? Roman 8:15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
All of this is belief only - there's not one shred of evidence that it's fact. Laws change, thus you're wrong on this too.
Everyone on the planet knows that murder, rape and ransacking houses is wrong. They are called crimes. People who commit crimes are called criminals, and are punished under the law. Not everything that Christians define as "sin" is criminal. Is getting a drunk a sin? Is looking at porn a sin? Is being a homosexual a sin? Both JamesR and I have asked you to define sin, you have not. You keep calling us sinners, but how are we supposed to avoid sinning if we don't know what's a sin and what is not?
I would like to see that. Do you have faith that all the deaths and suffering from both world wars is somehow acceptable? How does your faith fit that into God's plan? If his law of " thou shall not kill" had any value such that he personally dictated it to be written in stone why do you suggest to not follow the law is OK. Why do you folk make it up as you go along and simply avoid answering the big question....why all the un necessary deaths and suffering, why does not an all loving God do something...rather than simply allow crazy advocates to sprout nonsence. So its OK to avoid the law you say....think about that statement and the consequences if the populace decided that was a good idea. And what the heck is the relevance of "Abba father" ???? Do you talk in tounges as well? Sorry your un supportable nonsence is just too much to bear and I apologise for being grumpy. You usually seem to think things through a little better and maybe this is just a post you will regret when you give it proper thought. I will write it off that you were hasty and didn't think about it too much before posting..I make that mistake myself so I will try and be tolerant. Alex
