All throughout my life I have walked in towns that I have lived in and trips that I have traveled on. All those years of life, from birth to early childhood to teens to my twenties and thirties I walked and as I did there was a dark area behind me as I walked, subjectively. This dark trail that I walked through has been my home for 37 years. DE

It's better to have the darkness behind you than in front of you.

    You've been walking backwards.

You walked at birth? Are you a Wildebeest by chance?

Another thing - the expression 'behind my back' seems incorrect to me. If someone is behind my back then aren't they in front of me? Shouldn't it be in front of my back? Doesn't behind my front mean in back? This is so deeply philosophical....

This thread is really starting to get interesting

Free verse or completely devoid of form poetry can probably be submitted to the "Art & Culture" subforum in the Life section.

Reminds me of the book, On Having No Head, by Douglas Harding.

    https://www.amazon.com/Having-No-Head-Rediscovery-Obvious/dp/1878019198

The author writes about his rather Buddhist realization that he's normally aware of his face and what's in front of it, but as to what's behind his face, that's just a... blank, a void.

This is part of Relativity. Reality is different for everyone because our "field of vision" is relatively narrow.

It may appear dark because you cannot see it., but that is because our *field of vision* is fairly narrow and our internal hologram (image) only allows us to experience what we actually observe. It's a relativistic thing.

You can sit across from someone and see a pink wall behind that person, while he may see a blue wall behind you. But neither can see what's behind him/her and in my brain this *experience* shows up as total transparency rather than darkness.

    Experiment!
One can check his/her field of vision very easily. As they do in optometry.

    a) cover one eye and focus the other at a point straight ahead of you. Keep it rigidly focused on that point.
    b) starting from behind (outside your FOV) move a finger forward at eye-level until you see it come into vision.

This way we have established the *boundary* of the *visible* and *un-visible*. Now imagine that what's on the other side of your finger, just outside your FOV, is it "dark" or "blank"?

I've always wondered how a chameleon can see both ahead and behind at the same time.. Surround sound is amazing but processing surround vision must be very complicated.

Hi . I am advanced in my form as a human through much effort to attune myself first to my humility connection and now further my cosmic angelic connections. Generally from my perspective I would think astral energy is communication with you from behind mainly via the back of your neck. They would generally be maternal voices and a need to define yourself earthly and from an earthly family perspective. I advise seeking proper healing with can be sort to ground the energy wanting to lead the way intoo new towns from your crown chakra and a white light would ultimately preceded you. My general opinion from someone who as aatrained this via reiki and angelic healing. Good luck . I do reiki as a practicioner if your interested
