It was inevitable as the reality of a Trump Presidency set in, that his voters would start jumping ship. But this one is on them. This is theirs and theirs alone. They knew what was to come. His nationalistic rhetoric was on record and his playing footsies with white supremacists was on record from the manner in which he conducted his campaign to who he hired for his campaign. There were no surprises. There are no surprises. Trump told everyone what he wanted to do and no one who voted for him can pretend to be surprised or dare show dismay. Remember when Sculptor tried to claim he wasn't going to do any of it? That it was all scare-mongering? That there would be no wall, no mass deportations, no registry? His attempt to white wash it was laughable. No one is laughing because Trump is doing everything he said he wanted to do and more. Even the dreaded Muslim registry that the GOP ranted about and said wasn't going to happen. From his appointment of AG who is an outed white supremacist, to his appointment of a war monger in the case of Flynn. To his appointing Bannon as his closest adviser in the White House. To his VP and others discussing bringing back torture and Trump's reaffirming building "the wall" and mass deportations. He was clear from the outset. So when his outed voters try to distance themselves from it all, make ridiculous claims about caucusing for Sanders and attempt to deny their own words in the last few months, it is doubly laughable. And they should be called out on it and reminded at every turn that this is what they voted for and wanted. They voted for bigotry, racism, white supremacism, corruption. And they did it knowingly.
If Trump's spokesperson Kellyanne Conway is to be believed, Trump no longer wants to imprison Clinton. Wow, that's a change. After the "lock her up" mantra became a staple of every Trump rally, after repeatedly telling his followers that Clinton needed to be locked up, somehow that seems not to matter now. That's good news and bad news. It's good Trump is backing off his promises to "lock her up" and appoint a special prosecutor to harass her. It's bad news in that this kind of blatant demogoguery and appeal to ignorance worked and has been so effective in right wing circles. In backing off this core campaign promise, Trump is tacitly admitting that one of his main campaign promises what just a head-fake. I doubt that this will matter to Trump's devotees. They appear to be motivated not by rational thought but by the basest of emotions.
I liked the entertainment of Trumps weekly reality show The Apprentice... but the entertainment value of Trump The Phenomena is even beter cause its on 24/7 Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! "Foreign diplomats have said they feel pressured to stay at the Trump International in D.C. His daughter Ivanka, who is supposed to run the Trump empire while he is in the White House, has sat in on meetings with leaders from Japan and Argentina, and hawked the jewelry she wore during a “60 Minutes” interview. During a call just days after the election, Trump pressed British officials to help with a wind farm operation he detests because it ruins the views from his golf course." Trump tweet::: Wow, the @nytimes is losing thousands of subscribers because of their very poor and highly inaccurate coverage of the "Trump phenomena" 9:16 AM - 13 Nov 2016 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-transition-campaign_us_5834afdae4b01ba68ac35df0
We have 4 years of this kind of stuff to look forward to. It's not going to stop. We are just getting started. Whoever took away his Twitter access during the final days of the campaign has given it back to him. This is the new norm unfortunately, and we have barely touched Trump's many business conflicts of interest.
Anything and everything Trump does will be "good news and bad news." If he keeps a campaign promise it will be good news because he might have actually meant something he said - and bad news because he actually does it. If he breaks a promise we have prima facie good news - but bad news that the American people are stupid enough to elect a lying hypocrite. Take climate change: “I think there is some connectivity,” he said. “Some, something. It depends on how much.” Potential good news for the environment (and truth / science) but bad news because we have a phony con-artist as our future president. Etc....
Watch the birdie. Or, rather, check what Kellyanne Conway actually said↱: "Look, I think he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the President of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them". The only thing left is the supremacism. Nor should we be surprised. The only real question is whether Trump voters actually care.
Trump has become flip-fopper in chief even before entering office. He has flipped on imprisoning Clinton. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/22/politics/conway-no-clinton-charges-donald-trump/ He has flip-flopped on torture. For the last year and a half Trump has been for torture, famously saying, "Torture works, okay folks?...Believe me, it works.". Now after a meeting with a single general, that's no longer the case. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-torture-works/ http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/04/politics/donald-trump-reverses-on-torture/ He has flipped on his wall; now it's a fence. And the list goes on. Politico documents 15 flip-flops in 15 days. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/11/trump-flip-flops-president-elect-214478 I suppose we should be thankful.
Is he the canary in the mine for American democracy? The poison that does not kill you.....? Was something like him bound to show up and you should be grateful it was Benito rather than Adolf? .
What matters is not what he says he will push, but what he will veto - the Republican Party agenda has torture, New Deal rollback, fundie science suppression, surveillance State innovations, all the crazy all in there already. Trump is not a fringe Republican.
bit of a stink about him turning away classified intelligence briefings https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...c643c4-b1ae-11e6-be1c-8cec35b1ad25_story.html Should this even be a question? Don't they go with the territory? He can't farm these out to his vice president surely? Can he be impeached for refusing them without due cause? Is the job too much for him?
No... at least not the job he has in mind.!!! Its a new world order... in which Pence will keep up wit internal an world affairs... an Trump will pat Pence on the head but do what ever Steve Bannon advises... then Trump will have plenty of time for fun in his gold room showin off his beautiful dauter Ivonka to world leaders... which will have a calming effect on the common man as they drool over that grate piece of Azz an the stuff she wears/sells... an sinse conflicts of interest dont apply to Trump... an he is the self-proclaimed master of takin advantage of loop-holes... Trump has a good shot at becomin the richest man alive an Ruler/Owner... King of the World Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Trump will proclaim that wit-in 10 years... that ther will be a sign on the moon so YUGE that it will be visible from earth an will say... TRUMP.!!! My prediction above is based on the Turnip quote below::: "I choose to build a sign on the moon to honor me in this decade... not because its easy... but because i an i alone deserve it... an this challenge is one that you will accept... one i am unwilling to postpone... and one i intend to win.!!!" ~Donald Trump (mostly plagerised by Melania... as imagined by cluelusshusbund.!!!)
Oh, but he can and will farm out his presidency to his vice president. He's only there for the glory and to advance his business interests. Given these briefings are daily and given he has only received 2 of them over the course of 2 weeks, that is indeed bad. Two out of 15 isn't going to cut it, but he's our president-elect even though most American voters didn't vote for him. We are stuck with him. Let's hope and pray we survive his reign intact. Let's hope he or someone around him can control his impulsiveness and bombastic nature, because that's all we've got. An ignorant, bombastic, demagogue in charge of the world's most powerful military and economy, what could go wrong with that?
Some of the GOPs finest sure give it a whirl.!!! The way his nose crinkles an the way his wrinkles often angle... Pences face gives me the impression of a prune that just ate a particularly stinky-turd... but i thank its been the funniest to watch Rudy an Chris Christie tryin to give the Trump/Turd a sht-shine.!!! Rudy is a natural... but Christie tried so very very hard only to fail that my sympathies are wit him.!!! http://media.vanityfair.com/photos/...ter/w_960,c_limit/scary-clowns-trump-team.jpg
Trump has nominated Perry to lead the Department of Energy. I guess we shouldn't remind Perry that this is one of the departments he was going to eliminate.
He probably just forgot that he was going to eliminate it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
It's a strange thing indeed. Trump nominates a guy who has never managed anything and by his own admission isn't qualified to lead a major department of government to serve as Secretary of Housing and Urban Policy (HUD). Well, I guess we should be happy Trump didn't appoint him to become Secretary of the Department of Agriculture given that individual believes Egyptian pyramids were used as granaries. Just think of it, if Carson were Secreary of Agriculture, rural areas would resemble Egypt. We'd have every farm community out there building pyramids. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ay-get-him-some-votes/?utm_term=.8cc394ec442e
Trump enters office with the lowest job approval ratings in history. Trump's job approval ratings drop to 37%. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...-trump-barack-obama-quinnipiac-poll/96397974/
