whats up my homies and followers!

    We have another quandary!

If the world could get together and use wind turbines and water turbines only and connect them all through both poles. Maybe even make a snow turbine... could we use the oceans for nuclear power and still all be safe?

What would be the purpose of connecting them all at the poles? The poles are 1000s of miles away from the large population centers that use the power. You spend a fortune running transmission lines to the poles, only to send it back where it came from. Not to mention the massive loss of power you'd experience with transmission lines that long.

Falling snow doesn't fall very fast, and wouldn't turn a turbine very effectively, if it all. And once snow is on the ground, it generally doesn't move very much. Not quite sure how you would think that snow could be used for energy generation.

This doesn't make any sense. You were talking about wind and water turbines...where does nuclear power come into it? Are you trying to say use wind and water power INSTEAD of nuclear power?

I'm not following either. What do the poles have to do with wind and water turbines?

I'm just guessing, but I think Beacon thought that the poles would be the best place for a "central power hub"...where all the power comes in and is combined and then redistributed. Unfortunately, I guess he hasn't looked at a globe recently...particularly in the southern hemisphere.

that was a joke. Off old turbine cars and people who try the same thing in regular ones around the same era.

I'm not trying to use nuclear instead I'm just noting the fact it is always windy somewhere, Always rainy somewhere else, and power might just be a cultural problem. - more like along with seeing as nuclear plants use water, yet it isn't very sanitary historically to share water with a nuclear plant. So...
A globally connected wires could aid the coining of a specific phrase.

There is the potential for plenty of power - like there is plenty of food - in the world.

The problem isn't having enough of things - it delivering them to where they're needed economically. Who would pay for it?

What you are talking about is an engineering project of a scale unprecedented in human history.

It's an idealistic concept, not a practical one.

Idealistic measures have always been philosophically useful.

The distribution is all there the only difference is how it's all wired and where we grow our nuclear safety training fields

What are "nuclear safety training fields"?

    (Tongue-in-cheek)
Also remember that winds generally blow west to east (avg vector/direction due to earth rotation and coriolis effect). Thus, we should expect that the mean wind component will be intercepted by all those wind turbines and force a net effect (over time, of course) of a slowing of the earth's rotational rate, and increasingly longer days, so we should expect that the far future production of 'renewable natural energy' resources will be solar since longer days will infer longer solar exposure. (HAHA!)
