Are you asking about Genesis 1 or Genesis 2? They are two different stories that have different authors, different orders of creation and use different words for God (Elhoim vs Yaweh.) They are similar but certainly not the same, so you'd have to choose which one you're talking about.

I would guess the oldest language would have been symbolic instead of modern language. Symbolism is a spatial language with a symbol meaning more than it appears on the surface. The statue of liberty is an object to the left brain. This object is also a symbol of the concept of liberty, which requires intuition to completely understand. This is more right brained. Since the brain was shifting right to left, the first language will retain traces of the 3-D right, and then shift more to the definitive left.

Think of it this way. Before science, the world was viewed in a way where gods and sprites were everywhere and ruled. Language would reflect this nebulous perception of a reality that was in flux due to the gods; symbolism. The statue of liberty would not be just a statue, but would have the subjective essence of the goddess who is portrayed, and would therefore transcend earthy boundaries. The symbolism would need to reflect this extra. A work of art will move you and is more than just a thing hanging.

Definitive language of the left brain gradually evolves from this beginning. The fable of Rumpelstiltskin is appropriate. A poor miller with a beautiful daughter has to guess his name of this mischievous sprite to gain control over him. Symbolism is 3-D and nebulous, without definitive containment due to the gods. As left brain words appear, humans gain more control over objects.

But in the beginning, the world is not easy to control, since everything appears to have magic powers. Once we give each object a left brain sound, we can pin it down and control it. This topic looks for the Rumpelstiltskin word, to pin the first language down so it is subject to control. I am staying symbolic leaving the original language more like it was; fuzzy.

God would have spoken in symbols, so his words would retain the expansive meaning worthy of God; awe and inspire. Satan (personality firmware) was more 2-D or left brained (good and evil is 2-D) and this language would try to undermine God, by removing the symbolic fuzzy. Rumpelstiltskin. Once the tree is only a tree (first modern word) it magic power has been removed from the gods, and is now under human control.

The unconscious generates the symbols and left side consciousness defines words to remove the right brain effects. Genesis is very symbolic but is always treated using the left brain via a Rumpelstiltskin effect. If we call it X, we don't have to deal with the symbols because we just made it something definitive. Sometimes you need to retain symbolism to get the 3-D.

Till Eulenspiegel: Have you ever read about double-think?
Science & religion are fundamentally incompatible.

I do not believe in antagonism: I would not burn theists at the stack. It is not their fault that they were brainwashed when too immature to make informed decisions.

To accept science & believe in religion, one must put each concept in a separate region of the brain & only consider one at a time.

Eloh is the straightforward Hebrew word for "god," passed down through its ancestral Semitic languages in the Afroasiatic language family. It's cognate with the Arabic word allah--now capitalized like "God" in English and other languages with a dual-case alphabet, since the Arabs have become monotheistic. Elohim, "gods," is simply eloh with the common plural inflection -im.

The origin of YHWH, the tetragrammaton, is not so clear. Apparently this new singular god did not wish to be referred to by an old everyday word that had been used for centuries to mean any god from a whole pack of gods. So the Hebrews (who were now "Jews" even though they're not all from the tribe of Judah) invented a new name for him. It could be a word that means "he creates," but some scholars say it is from God's Popeye-like assertion, "I am that I am." In the former case the correct pronunciation is indeed Yahweh but except in textbooks and the litugy Hebrew is written without vowels like all languages that use an abjad, so we can't be sure which is the correct origin.

It's been established by the priesthood that even though God likes his new name, he doesn't want anybody to speak it out loud. To the point that if he ever hears it he will smite the speaker. Modern scholars, both Jewish and Gentile, have standardized on the spelling Yahweh, which therefore is spoken out loud all over the world many times per day. Since there is no record of anyone being struck by lightning for blasphemy, this argues powerfully against the assertion that this is the correct pronunciation.

The Romans transliterated it as Jehovah, since their alphabet requires the use of vowels. J and V are semivowels so this was pronounced YE-HO-WAH. Apparently that's not right either!

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus is the living Word who was Jewish and His primary language was Hebrew

IMO, God communicates the 'WORD' primarily on a subquantum level and less often on the material level. Which language is irrrelevant - just listen!

So God is nothing more than random fluctuations in space-time? Welcome to materialism!

    What does this even mean.
Can I use my new word..deepity?

And do we have any direct God quotes?

So what language did God use the very first time he spoke and when was that? Date time with who?

Language changes to accommodate the two communicating party .
In your case since you are in Australia, check with the aborigeni.
In USA I would check with the Natives American.
If I remember from Genesis God thought Adam on how to name different animals.

How familiar is the language of your Australian aborigine is to you ?
If God wants to communicate something to me , he will speak to me in a form (language ) that I will understand. So the question what language He speaks is irrelevant.

I find it most strange that you say that the language God used is irrelevant. I mean this is God is not every detail important.

So Fred says "God talked to me this morning" really says John "did he speak English?"
Fred says "look I dont know but thats irrelevant" or Fred could say "he spoke in xxx"

Why would you not want to know?

If nothing else it is interesting.

Here we have God communicating with humans and you can only say the language is irrelevant.

I suppose if God makes an appearance and one asks what did he look like you would say that what he looked like is irrelevant the fact he appeared is all we need to know.

I dont understand why you talk about aboriginal language please explain the point of doing so.

If no one knows what the language was thats ok simply say.. The language used was not recorded and we dont know.

You picked the word IRRELEVANT and bashing me down.THIS is the important part "If God wants to communicate something to me , he will speak to me in a form (language ) that I will understand. " I am sure He knows on how to make us understand . Since you have read the bible from cover to cover , you probably have come across in the book of ACT. chapter 2 or 3 there is an explanation, People from different languages
have heard the Holly spirit spoke in different languages to different peoples.
The point here on the forum are just mocking
God spoke to John in English ,He probably was reading the bible in English ,but if John was prying and the Holy spirit manifested himself in some other language we don't know . There are some persons have gifts of interpretation and if that person would be with John and the message was of importance to there would be an interpretation.
Appearance of God : God is spirit and no one have seen God
Talk about aborigeni ; I used it as an example as one of primitive language, because our modern languages are combinations of all languages in our present time . Every modern language borrows word from other culture which interact with it.
