    Associate Professor Dr Joan Vaccaro, of Griffith's Centre for Quantum Dynamics, has solved an anomaly of conventional physics and shown that a mysterious effect called 'T violation' could be the origin of time evolution and conservation laws.

    "I begin by breaking the rules of physics, which is rather bold I have to admit, but I wanted to understand time better and conventional physics can't do that," Dr Vaccaro says.

    "I do get conventional physics in the end though. This means that the rules I break are not fundamental. It also means that I can see why the universe has those rules. And I can also see why the universe advances in time."

    In her research published in The Royal Society Dr Vaccaro says T violation, or a violation of time reversal (T) symmetry, is forcing the universe and us in it, into the future

    "If T violation wasn't involved we wouldn't advance in time and we'd be stuck at the Big Bang, so this shows how we escaped the Big Bang.

    "I found the mechanism that forces us to go to the future, the reason why you get old and the reason why we advance in time." "The universe must be symmetric in time and space overall. But we know that there appears to be a preferred direction in time because we are incessantly getting older not younger."

    Like the article said, if it wasn't for time, we would still be stuck at the BB itself.

    The author speaks of movement through time, to go, to advance. perhaps time is fundamental, the first, not the fourth dimension. movement through time enabled us to leave that point in time, and still moving. or?

    But at t=0 (Big Bang Moment), it did not know that T was getting violated or not, because there was no T or no A. All wild and weird imagination.

    Time: How we escaped from the Big Bang. The paper says that the ideas break the laws of physics, quote "I begin by breaking the rules of physics, which is rather bold I have to admit, but I wanted to understand time better and conventional physics can't do that," Dr Vaccaro says.

    I find this interesting, and if breaking the rules of physics is Okay, then maybe it is okay to express my conclusions about time and its relentless advance forward as it applies to cosmology.

    Here is time as I see it:

    1. Time simply passes, everywhere, at the speed of light, and this post is about why the local speed of light varies, and the affect that a variable speed of light has on the rate that clocks measure the passing of time.

    2. The speed of light varies relative to the local energy density; the premise is that energy density is the measure of gravitational/light wave energy passing any and every point in space at all times. Empty space is called the vacuum of space (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vacuum) and every point in space is a partial vacuum that has wave energy passing through it, and therefore has a fluctuating wave energy density.

    3. LIGO (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/LIGO) recently detected gravitational waves of the highest magnitude using a delicate interferometer, confirming an out flowing of gravitational wave energy from massive objects and high energy events. That is a partial confirmation of the premise that objects have inflowing and out flowing gravitational wave energy components.

    4. Additionally, scientists, long ago, detected the Cosmic Microwave Background (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_microwave_background) where light at microwave frequencies is coming and going in all directions simultaneously, originating from at least as far back in time as the "surface of last scattering" (https://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/level5/March03/Lineweaver/Lineweaver7_2.html).

    5. Thus the premise that the vacuum of space contains wave energy advancing at the speed of light at all points, in all directions, is confirmed by LIGO and the CMBR. The absorption of light/gravitational wave energy by particles and objects to offset the out flow is also a part of the premise, and there are calculations that point to unexplained high levels of wave energy in space relative to expectations (http://www.nature.com/news/2008/080220/full/news.2008.610.html). The premise is that that high energy in space equates to the gravitational out flow of all particle and objects, not just black holes or during massive energy events, and that there is an inflow into particle and objects that essentially balances the out flow, except for the energy of motion.

    6. Particles and objects are hypothesized to be composed of wave energy in quantum increments, and the particle space has both an inflowing and an out flowing component, where the "contained" wave energy is equal the net of the inflow and out flowing wave energy, i.e., equal to the energy of the particle at rest (lower at rest than when in motion relative to the rest state).

    7. In the wave-particle premise, the velocity of light/gravitational waves is governed by the local wave energy density. Light velocity varies corresponding to varying wave energy densities, which is consistent with the well known refraction effect that various mediums like water, glass, air, and open space have on the local velocity of light through those mediums. The local wave energy density increases from zero in a vacuum, to some positive value when wave energy is present, and conversely, the velocity of light decreases from c (the speed of light in a vacuum) to the local velocity of light that is relative to local wave energy density.     8. Note: Vacuum density and energy density of the vacuum are the same thing. Empty space is considered the vacuum, and lambda is the vacuum energy density of the universe, in standard theory.

    9. Particles and matter are known to have wave-particle characteristics, and that is because particles are composed of gravitational wave energy at the speed of light, contained within the particle's space. Logic tells us that the vacuum density of the particle space is vastly higher than the vacuum density of the surrounding space, and so the mechanism of containment is that waves slow down when they enter the particle space. The particle space can contain more energy relative to the surrounding vacuum density because of the higher density/slower relative velocity of light.

    10. Therefore the rate that particles function is a factor of the local level of vacuum density. When we measure time, it is the rate that a clock measures the passing of time in the local wave energy density environment.

    So time simply passes, everywhere, at the speed of light, and as the local speed of light varies, the rate that clocks measure the passing of time in that location also varies, relative to the rate that clocks measure the passing of time in different locations where relative motion exists.

    which is still happening. Therefore the answer to the question : were you there is : yes I am

    : Not being able to visualise a FoR where a photon just this side of the EH of a BH, emmitted directly radially away, will appear to hover there forever.....not being able to comprehend how tidal gravity effects will overcome all other forces at some point with regards to a BH....not being able to accept that a BH [essentially curved spacetime] can move through spacetime, etc etc etc etc etc, oh, and etc Not to forget the three award winning claims/fairy tales by yourself:
    [1] GR will be surpassed in 2025:
    [2] GP-B was a fraudulent exercise.
    [3] aLIGO was another fraudulent exercise.

    Quantum asymmetry between time and space

    Abstract

    An asymmetry exists between time and space in the sense that physical systems inevitably evolve over time, whereas there is no corresponding ubiquitous translation over space. The asymmetry, which is presumed to be elemental, is represented by equations of motion and conservation laws that operate differently over time and space. If, however, the asymmetry was found to be due to deeper causes, this conventional view of time evolution would need reworking. Here we show, using a sum-over-paths formalism, that a violation of time reversal (T) symmetry might be such a cause. If T symmetry is obeyed, then the formalism treats time and space symmetrically such that states of matter are localized both in space and in time. In this case, equations of motion and conservation laws are undefined or inapplicable. However, if T symmetry is violated, then the same sum over paths formalism yields states that are localized in space and distributed without bound over time, creating an asymmetry between time and space. Moreover, the states satisfy an equation of motion (the Schrödinger equation) and conservation laws apply. This suggests that the time–space asymmetry is not elemental as currently presumed, and that T violation may have a deep connection with time evolution.




    In conclusion, the importance of Feynman's sums over paths for describing quantum phenomena is well beyond doubt [43]. A distinctive feature of the quantum virtual paths in the new formalism is that they explicitly take into account the violation of T symmetry. The new formalism has the advantage of giving time and space an equal footing at a fundamental level while allowing familiar differences, such as matter being localized in space but undergoing unbounded evolution in time, to arise phenomenologically due to the fact that T violation is a property of translations in time and not space. As such, the violation of the discrete symmetries is seen to play a defining role in the quantum nature of time and space.

    I'm certain Prof. "Cowboy" believes time's arrow to be something of a revelation. A means of escape? Sure, if by that you mean, all of the prisoners in a maximum security pen will eventually escape their captivity by means of dying. Of what use is that to them, really?

    Thank goodness, they don't need to use a tardis or a time machine in order to serve multiple life sentences, the way a timelord or Dr. Who would.

    This is what a brain on drugs looks like.
