    Sorry, things to do.....
No I don't lie...and further more, unlike what you appear to do, I don't obfuscate either, by claiming all other possibilities, that I and others have constantly raised, are impossible, leaving open of course the only other recourse of your favourite pastimes of either Aliens/time travellers/paranormal or supernatural.
There are many many weird atmospheric/meteorological occurences and such....Do you notice how sometimes the wheels of cars appear to be spinning backwards?...have you ever noticed how huge the Moon appears on the horizon? just to name two'.
Plus of course the many many many other possible, legitimate causes that otherwise reputable people like Policemen, Pilots etc, can possibly formulate mistaken scenarios within their own minds.....and of course being a Policeman, or Pilot or judge or whatever, does not automatically mean an unquestionable reputable source. Anyone can be mislead by events that seem to be, other then what they truly are.

Sometimes as a joke, sometimes as an indication of covering up, obvious deficiencies in ones arguments.

So you lied. Hey everybody! It is now totally ok in Sci Forums to tell lies about other posters without being infracted by moderators.

Deficiencies in that they are anything other then UNIDENTIFIED...as in UFO.....

No, not at all, despite your hysterics.
Let me again inform you that most of us here realise that a small percentage of sightings remain as UFO and unidentified.
You on the other hand, erroneously and insideously dismiss all natural, atmospheric/meteorological explanations, leaving open only your Aliens/time travellers/supernatural and/or paranormal explanation.
We all see what you are stooping to.
Now go away and find some real conclusive, extraordinary evidence, that any sighting is either Alien time traveller or any other apparition you chose to fabricate.

The prove it statement is rather ironic...

Where did I claim they weren't unidentified? Where did I say they weren't UFOs? You're the one saying it's something identified like a meteor or a weather balloon. I am saying it isn't identified as something known at all.

    There you go obfuscating again......
I'm not identifying the small percentage of unexplained UFO's as anything other then unidentified...All I do is list the possibilities, that you so fanatically outright deny.
You on the other hand, by outright dismissing any other possibility, are insidiously leaving the door open for other impressionables to conclude, Aliens/Time travellers etc.

Obviously it is you making up shit, as per your previous nonsensical claim about me identifying UFO's.

All those other possibilities you list are already ruled out by the investigators. Invoking them again is just ignorant. We can therefore say with certainty it is a real UFO, as I have defined repeatedly here from Wikipedia and other sources:

"An unidentified flying object, or UFO, in its most general definition, is any apparent anomaly in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon."---https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unidentified_flying_object

Show me any reputable researcher, who categorically states they are of extra terrestrial origin, or time travellers, or from another dimension......we don't know....understand?

They are ascertained to be nothing more than UFO's.

Not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon, is not the same as conclusively not any known object or phenomenon.
And of course there are other aspects to consider.

    • Aerial Phenomena Enquiry Network (APEN)
    • Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI)
    • Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS or JAHCUFOS)
    • Disclosure Project.
    • Fund for UFO Research (FUFOR)
    • International UFO Congress (IUFOC)
    • Mutual UFO Network (MUFON)
    • National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC)
Ufologists simply refer to them as UFOs, defined as I have already defined them.

Yes it is. Known objects and phenomena have already been ruled out by investigators. And that's when we call it a UFO, as I have defined already.

Scientists and most reputable people refer to them as UFO's as I and most reputable people define UFO.

No, we can never be sure...that's why it remains a UFO.
There are many many aspects of what weird formations that meteorological, astronomical, and atmospheric phenomena can appear like, and of course then we have the phycological conditions of the claiment, and confirmation bias and such things.

"The word UFO was created in 1952 to replace the phrase flying saucers 1, which at the time were popularly believed to be spacecraft from another world. The replacement was made to accommodate shapes and sizes other than disks and to distance the USAF from the public impression that they were investigating something of extraterrestrial origin. However this latter strategy was rather transparent and consequently the vast majority of written and graphical portrayals convey the idea that UFOs are some sort of alien craft.

In the lexicon of ufology the word UFO also has different meanings in different contexts. While it is clear that the word is meant to be applied to objects that appear to be extraordinary or out of this world, not all the objects in UFO reports turn out to be UFOs. Therefore for the purpose of investigation, the objects in UFO reports are not classed as UFOs until the reports have been investigated and all known natural or manmade objects have been ruled out with reasonable certainty. In his classic book The UFO Experience, eminent ufologist and astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek puts it this way:

'We can define the UFO simply as the reported perception of an object or light seen in the sky or upon land the appearance, trajectory, and general dynamic and luminescent behavior of which do not suggest a logical, conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a common sense identification, if one is possible.'

Many different shaped UFOs have been reported, but the most ubiquitous are spheres and disks. More recently, triangular craft have also been reported. Disk and triangular shaped UFOs often have a raised section in the center-top of the craft that is presumed to be a crew cabin. Most UFOs are fairly small, usually under 150 feet wide. However on rare occasions gigantic UFOs have also been sighted. On radar some UFOs also appear to merge, and this merging has led mainstream ufologists to speculate that large UFOs are carriers, also called mother ships, and that the smaller UFOs are probably reconnaissance craft or probes. I did ask for reputable references MR.
Scientifically, a UFO is as I have defined: something of unknown origin.

An unidentified flying object, or UFO, in its most general definition, is any apparent anomaly in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon. Culturally, UFOs are associated with claims of visitation by extraterrestrial life or government-related conspiracy theories, and have become popular subjects in fiction. UFOs are often identified after their sighting. Sometimes, however, UFOs cannot be identified because of the low quality of evidence related to their sightings.

Stories of fantastical celestial apparitions have been told since antiquity, but the term "UFO" (or "UFOB") was officially created in 1953 by the United States Air Force (USAF) to serve as a catch-all for all such reports. In its initial definition, the USAF stated that a "UFOB" was "any airborne object which by performance, aerodynamic characteristics, or unusual features, does not conform to any presently known aircraft or missile type, or which cannot be positively identified as a familiar object." Accordingly, the term was initially restricted to that fraction of cases which remained unidentified after investigation, as the USAF was interested in potential national security reasons and/or "technical aspects" (see Air Force Regulation 200-2).

Studies have established that the majority of UFO observations are misidentified conventional objects or natural phenomena—most commonly aircraft, balloons, noctilucent clouds, nacreous clouds, or astronomical objects such as meteors or bright planets with a small percentage even being hoaxes.[note 1] Between 5% and 20% of reported sightings are not explained, and therefore can be classified as unidentified in the strictest sense. While proponents of the extraterrestrial hypothesis (ETH) suggest that these unexplained reports are of alien spacecraft, the null hypothesis cannot be excluded that these reports are simply other more prosaic phenomena that cannot be identified due to lack of complete information or due to the necessary subjectivity of the reports.

While UFOs have been the subject of extensive investigation by various governments and although a few scientists have supported the extraterrestrial hypothesis, almost no scientific papers about UFOs have been published in peer-reviewed journals.[7] There was, in the past, some debate in the scientific community about whether any scientific investigation into UFO sightings is warranted with the general conclusion being that the phenomenon was not worthy of serious investigation beyond a cultural artifact.
