The Russians use his organization to further their own goals. And when it comes to criticizing nations for abusive behavior, mention of Russia is conspicuously absent. Not seeking asylum in the Russian embassy at least gives the appearance of impartiality, but the rest of his actions don't.

Those who do care about such apparently - to people like you - minor issues such as voting and counting and electing representatives, have longer term worries from blatantly rigged elections than whether Trump is what's best for Russia.

The notion that fascism is better for trade, like the notion that it makes the trains run on time, has no support in history. Neither does the notion that Trump has no warlike inclinations - the Republican takeover that Trump completed (or will complete, as soon as the Supreme Court nominations arrive on his desk) is made up of belligerents and military profiteers, and Trump himself has no visible wisdom in such matters.

We need to deal with rusophobia in USA, everybody. Literally, everybody. Because USA has already used McCarthyism and blaming communists didnt solve issues. Once we get over the people who hate russia and russian president, well we will have a great nation.

Professional spooks? The ones who got into the political game of namecalling and blatantly showed their unprofessionalism? And by the way you got proof to the assertion that Assange is a Russian paid hacker? Or is everything that casts bad light on USA, means the evil Russians/Chinese are up to it?

Kindly point out where Capracus said Assange was "Russian Paid"... Otherwise you are intentionally misquoting him

Kittamaru I am serious, look at how you address Russia and Russians. Don't you see that you are handling issues with another nation in a racist way? Why cant we be friends? Why these continued stereotypical references and continued bullying? When will you draw a line?

Well he did say "Russians use his organization to further their own goals". Isn't "using" means "controlling" as well? And who works for free, right?

Me? What about the multiple government security agencies whose job it is to collect such evidence? Oh, right, you don't trust them. Why, then, would you trust me to provide you with the evidence (assuming I have it)? What good would it do for me to repeat what the security agencies have already said?

I think the WMD issue was settled some time ago.

They'll lie to the President and to the public? All of them?

Sounds like quite a dose of paranoia you have there, Michael.

But here we're talking about a blatant partisan action aimed at influencing the outcome of the election. Does it not concern you that another nation is interfering in nefarious ways to influence the choice of the American people?

Even if that issue swayed enough votes to swing the election result? Okay, then. You've always had an odd view of the world, Michael.

You wanted WarHarpy to lose, so it's OK, then. I see.

Is who's painting who all you care about? Aren't you concerned about what is true?

Promoting trade justifies rigging elections, now, does it? Assuming, of course, that this will promote trade between Russia and the US.

You’ve heard the saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The US government is an enemy of Julian Assange, making the Russian government a potential friend, and his actions tend to reinforce that likelihood. Maybe he treats the Russians favorably because they’re holding a figurative gun to his head. He’s definitely set himself up to be on somebody’s hit list, or to be somebody’s tool.

Either that was one long red herring, or did you honestly think I would like you to personally provide me with evidence? I asked for you to provide a link to the evidence.

See, that's the nice thing about empiricism, and why we use it in science, it means we don't have to 'take the word' of a person in authority. People who stand to gain in power and influence if they can make the case there's a big bad scary Russia that hacked the election in favor of sexist, racist, bigoted, mysognist, anti-semite, satan-worshipping, Putin-puppet Donald Trump... magically ensuring his victory by GAAASP doing the job our media Muppets (many of whom are married to politicians) should be doing.

So? Do you, have ANY evidence at all?
    Anything?

Or just the word of known WMD liars?

Secondly, what's good for Russia is not de facto bad for America. In this case, let's say Putin magically hacked the DNCs server - well, releasing the information on it was very good. Great in fact. Or, let's say it was some snot nosed kid in his mama's basement. Still the same. Fan-fuvking-tastic

You want to believe in a big scary Putin, feel free. I don't. And I don't care.

Nope. And I'm an American. I am not the least bit concerned who the functionally illiterate American public barfs up as commander in chief. Isn't that nice

Next time maybe we'll get Caligula, or Sanders or the Native American professor from Harvard.

Maybe you don't get it, the West is on the way down. Not up. Down. There's no turning the ship around, it's hit the iceberg and is now going to slowly sink. If you want to think that's because of Putin, feel free. If you want to believe that's hyperbole. Feel free.

You want to know what the truth is? That is the truth

    Michael:

Tell me why you believe the Russians had nothing to do with it.

Tell me why you think it was great.

Tell me why you think it was fan-fuvking-tastic.

You sound like you care. As much as you care about anything, that is.

You've removed yourself to the other side of an ocean, have you not? You don't really identify with what's happening in America at any given time; that much is clear from your posts.

I wonder with whom you do identify. It is not your fellow Americans - not the ones who live there, anyway.

    So pessimistic, Michael.

Tell me: what gives you hope for the future?

‘Clinton quite effective at discrediting herself, doesn’t need Putin’s help’ - ex CIA analyst

The main goal of the whole “Russian hacking” US election narrative is a propaganda stunt aimed at discrediting Trump by claiming that Vladimir Putin personally intervened to discredit Hillary Clinton, retired CIA analyst Larry Johnson has told RT.

“It’s designed to smear Trump. Because even the language that developed the notion that Vladimir Putin took it upon himself and instructed the intelligence organs in Russia to go out and discredit Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton didn’t need any help being discredited, she was quite effective at it herself,” Larry Johnson said.

"It was not Vladimir Putin that put the email server in her bathroom,” Johnson added.

“It was not Vladimir Putin who told Hillary Clinton to use a private email account and conduct US-government business over that account and to share classified information. And her repeated lying about it. The fact that you would just focus a story on it somehow makes you an agent of Vladimir Putin. This thing is so ridiculous. It’s amusing we have talk about, but it’s so serious because it shows just the level that the intelligence community in the United States has fallen to. They are playing and interfering in domestic policies,” he said.

The report lacks any factual evidence, because the intelligence services apparently don’t have any, Larry Johnson believes. “I don’t think they’re hiding anything because they don’t have anything. These are ‘or and how’ intelligence estimates as opposed to an intelligence analysis based on fact. There’s no fact underlying this. There are analytical assumptions,” Johnson said.

“You can tell that because whenever they use the language like ‘we assess that’ or ‘we believe that’ or ‘it’s likely that.’ That means they don’t know, because if you knew, you could say … in public ‘according to multiple sources we know that.’ You state facts,” he explained.
    ...
“It was only CIA and FBI that ‘strongly agree’ but the NSA, who’s the only one in that group that would actually have the physical evidence of the hacking, if that existed… took a middle of the road position,” Johnson told RT.

The whole situation around the “hacking” report gives an impression of a well-staged spectacle, Johnson believes

For the same reason I don't believe in the Gods. No good evidence, and I'm not taking the Theologians' at their words, even though, they're apparently experts on the topic.

I've worked in numerous large private a public bureaucracies. Nothing could be better than to dislodge that political hack. Let's hope severe term limits are soon to follow.

    See above.

Let me clarify, I don't care if the DNCs computer was hacked by a 14 year old, Putin, or leaked. And it made for good political theater.

I'm a US Citizen - obviously I have family in the USA. However, I suggest to anyone, if you are inclined, move to the East. IMO, the future lies in the East.

That's a good question. I was born in and grew up in the USA - I identify with being American. Specifically, Midwestern. It's a good fit with the East to be honest.

    LOL
We'll see. I've lived in 5 countries, I'm confident in suggesting the West is in decline both morally and culturally. Understanding the failings of the West, is not pessimistic. It's realistic. Suppose the USA were to become a far left Socialistic State. Understanding that the future would result in mass chaos and people eating zoo animals and refuge, may sound pessimistic, but that's not pessimism, it's realism.

    Family of course

Outside of family, I'm greatly looking forward to each new technological advancement. Robotics and AI will probably be next, eliminating many mundane jobs. Maybe not soon followed, but a slow burn will be biotechnology. Which can put more people to work. Also, entertainment will continue to expand in scope and opportunity. Very decentralized, which is good. If you're motivated, I imagine the world has never been more open to possibilities.

Oh, and then I have an interesting life IMO. I spend a lot of time doing interesting work and enjoy traveling. Plus, for fun I'm working on a children's book. That's a lot of fun (hobby). I'm also a strong advocate for peaceful parenting when opportunity presents itself. I also create free lessons for children to learn English (hobby). Oh, I have some very very interesting research into cancer. I'll wrap that up soon I hope. And it's pretty good stuff too. There's a lot of bullshit out there - this isn't that. It's very well researched and detailed analysis and I did a lot of it personally so I know that the data is sound.

Oh, I've recently tried to get into delineating sound valid arguments from cogent strong arguments through the use of fuzzy modus tollens and modus ponens. It's a hobby. Like a once a year thing I go back to during Xmas.

The Russian president is a dictator and he is antithetical to democracy, he promotes war in the Ukraine simply to spit them and scare other former soviet satellites from thinking independently of him. He supports Assad only so he can have military bases in syria and gives no fucks who he is killing over there.

It is becoming rather embarrasing to be a citizen of the USA.
