    Oh great, just f*cking great...

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...cdb4b7f8dd7_story.html?utm_term=.834129712e21

    From the article:

Donald Trump asked a proponent of a widely discredited theory that vaccines cause autism to chair a new commission on vaccine safety and scientific integrity.
The stunning move contradicts established science, medicine and the government’s position on the issue. It comes after Trump — who has long been critical of vaccines — met at Trump Tower with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has spearheaded efforts to roll back child vaccination laws

How many average Joe Blows are going to be fooled by this potentially highly dangerous move?
Surely we do have some sane people from the land that has given us the most momentous moment in human history by landing no less then 12 men on the Moon. Even from his own party...Can this clown be stopped from doing what he is obviously trying to do?
Thank f*%$ that I and my family and friends are separated by 12,000 kms of Ocean! Sad, a very sad day.

I grew up in the fifties, and in Australia we had totally free for all school children, in all schools, both government and private, the Salk vaccine schedule scheme.
Polio has now been eliminated at least in Australia.

This may not be as stupid as it sounds.
Firstly those against vacinations may at least feel they are treated fairly and their opinions are somewhat respected and all folk like to think their opinion is respected.

Secondly placing this person in such a position may expose him to reason and moderate his views.
Also as chairman he presumably does not get to vote on anything.
The anti vaxers will maybe take notice of findings presented given one of their so to speak is chairman.
Mr Trump is such a clever man and I am sure he knows what he is doing.

Trump. That's the same guy who wifully rejects the idea that CFCs from his hairspray could escape his enclosed room.

WashingtonPost isn't exactly Pro-Trump, in fact they are all anti-Trump media. Here is their article on how to remove Trump, that is how to remove democratically elected President of United States...think about that.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...19cc36-d698-11e6-9a36-1d296534b31e_story.html

So, can you trust a media like that? I say no.

This war between Jeff Bezos's newspaper WashingtonPost and Trump has been going on for quite some time actually:

This isn't surprising... he already ignores good science and overwhelming evidence regarding climate change; why would he act any different regarding vaccines?

A few questions re the great American clown and his proposed agenda......
[1] If he abolishes the laws of compulsory vaccinations, are the individual states obliged to follow?....Or can they tell him to go jump, and carry on with protecting their children and population, sensibly and scientifically.

[2] If the answer to the above is yes, how will the states that want to maintain compulsory vaccinations, handle inter-state traffic and border control, to maintain full protection?

[3] How will the possibility of citizens who do get their kids vaccinated, react if the obvious increase in non vaccinations, see an increase in diseases as will be likely?

[4] How will all this interact with the "not so well off" and the dismantling of ObamaCare?

[5] Could a citizen whose child falls seriously ill or dies, sue "Donald Duck" if the above scenarios take place?

[6] So in summing if we see [a] The withdrawal of compulsory vaccinations, the abolishment of ObamaCare, and [c] a withdrawal of any sort of pollution control and pumping CO2 into the atmosphere, will the USA sink to third world country status?

[7] On what grounds can any POTUS be impeached?
[8] Are there any other grounds for removing any President from Office? eg: Can his own party express dissatisfaction with him and have him removed.

It is so sad that Trumps preoccupation with all things conspiratorial is going to be so costly to the world ( not just the USA )
He is clinically paranoid and as is the case with most paranoid people he is going to fall and unfortunately take an awful lot of people with him.

To add to paddoboy 's list

[9] what mechanism is in place if the President becomes or is proven to be mentally deranged whilst in office?

Is there any suggestion or indication that this may happen?
    Has he made any statement?

our only hope now, OUR ONLY HOPE is that hours upon hours of meeting with the nation's top doctors and scientist can convince this man that vaccines are in fact good.

Meanwhile trump is going to go to area 51 to check if that conspiracy is true, please let an alien eat him!

Please let that alien be Mexican. Not some inter-dimensional, time-traveling, potentially an alien, but maybe just a blob-squatch (or a flying ray or a giant hyrax).
    The chef's paycheck...
That's a bill the Mexicans might pay.

Sorry for the slight edit, ElectricFetus.

Still a week to go before Trump's inauguration.

Then we'll all have the pleasure of witnessing 4 years of this kind of stuff, with Trump at the helm (unless he's impeached or something).

This is what 49% (or whatever it was) of Americans voted for. You get the President you deserve, I guess.

He's a known anti-vaxxer. He has made his opinion on the issue clear, even before he ran for office. So it is not a stretch to imagine he would do that.
