This is a new development; apparently the FBI has material which shows the Russian government has compromised Trump. This is something to keep an eye on. Apparently, Russia began the effort to to compromise Trump 5 years ago. This would explain Trump's steadfast loyalty to Putin. This explains a lot.

This is explains his Russian campaign manager and many other things. I speculated about this earlier. Now it appears there is something to it.

This could very well be the beginning of the end of Trump's presidency, and the clown hasn't even been sworn into office yet.

And it could be the end of his businesses as well.

I tend to feel that there will come a time when senior members of the USA Gov. including president elect Trump are going to have to realize that somethings are bigger than their own individual careers or fortunes.
The depth of the Russian extortion/blackmail being applied to many influential members of Gov. may turn out to be overwhelmingly massive and utterly devastating.

For too long too many have allowed in their naivety, their personal sh*t to be accessible to the Russians via hacking and if there wasn't any sh*t to be got, the hackers could just as easily plant some.
The extent of vulnerability to all persons in office or running for office is huge...when some nefarious actor decides to compromise, co-op, defame, etc. there is no limit to the numbers of victims.

Needless to suggest that many reputations maybe about to get destroyed and that subsequent outcomes may leave any past political scandal ( Watergate etc) as inconsequential and somewhat trivial when compared.

However, I repeat, that somethings are considerably more important than individual reputations and careers. ( As Hillary Clinton has repeatedly displayed by using a private email server in the wake of the initial Wiki Leaks scandal and the obvious ramifications one could deduce even whilst knowing that the use of the private email server could probably cost her the Presidency) and these "victims" are going to have to bite the bullet for the greater good.

Trump, given his propensity to impulsive decisions and notorious predilection for young women, would have had to have been extremely vulnerable for many years especially since if and when he started traveling to Russia for business reasons.

The Russian sex industry is notoriously ruthless, syndicated and well resourced. Trump would have been incredibly vulnerable IMO.

"CNN has confirmed that the synopsis was included in the documents that were presented to Mr. Trump but cannot confirm if it was discussed in his meeting with the intelligence chiefs.
The Trump transition team declined repeated requests for comment."

Trump has a press conference scheduled for tomorrow morning. If he doesn't cancel as he is wont to do, I'm sure he will be asked about this development. I'm sure he will either lie or evade and most likely do both. But I don't think this is going away.

The FBI director was quizzed about the issue, but of course he refused to comment.

This is big! Who knew Trump would be the Manchurian candidate?

This is Trump's Twitter response: "BuzzFeed Runs Unverifiable Trump-Russia Claims' #FakeNews".

Totally expected...it will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming days and weeks.

When wondering what the Russians could have compiled on Trump that would be effective against a sitting President like Trump - a public adulterer and failed casino owner already - something that has been nagging me for a while now keeps coming back:

The Rule: if you want to know what Nameless Faction folks have been up to recently, start by looking at what their media minions are suddenly accusing their enemy du jour of doing. That's a good guess - they do a lot of projecting.

Ok, there's a lot of talk about foundation fraud and profiteering, influence peddling and cozy relations with corrupting entities. But that would hardly sink Trump - that's practically his brand. So - - -

The Republican-backing media operation slanders against the Clintons took a groundswell turn toward sex crimes against children right about the time Trump became the presumptive nominee of the Republicans.

Iirc our local Russian propaganda vibe connection, Schmelzer, started insistently posting stuff about hacked computers employed for child porn slanders (as his chosen and repeated example of the kind of stuff America's oppressive laws and customs enable) during the Trump campaign.

The near-unanimous agreement that there's a serious problem here is matched by a universal reticence to specify it even hypothetically. Whatever it is, it's an accusation that cannot be made or even suggestively approached without complete certainty and incontrovertible proof.

It's in the air, from several directions at once.

And it fits - biography, personality, social relations, mob connections.

Probably the most important attribute you may have missed in your list is Trumps history of Impulsiveness. Especially when it comes to women. He has self confessed (on video no less) to not being able to control himself and has been accused by a number of women of molestation (admittedly their testimony is lacking a certain credibility due to the electioneering going on) however the Russian reaction to the airing of that infamous video of Trump talking candidly in a bus was entirely out of character and included threats by power brokers in Russia of ww3 if Clinton got elected.

The other, to me at least, is not so much what Trump has said but more about what he hasn't said.
I have googled for it in so many ways but have yet to find one single published comment by Trump that is in any way critical of Putin's leadership of the Russian people. Not a single one!!!
Now to me this is utterly staggering for a "wanna be" president of a nation that has significant conflict with Putin's internal and foreign policy agenda.
It also indicates that Trump is subordinate and certainly not egalitarian in his relationship with Putin.

I would wager that if the press actually asked him to express an opinion of what Putin could do better in his job as President of Russia he would probably not be able to say anything at all. This reeks of mind programming that blocks the supplicant victim from expressing certain things no matter how hard he may want to. Perhaps Putin and his cronies have mastered the art of mental programming.... it certainly appears that way to me.

Why Clinton denigrates Russians? The woman is a war general, she simply does not care about her people or any people, Benghazi just spilled over to media to see the top of the iceberg.

Has anyone considered that Trump may have been set up over the years he was in Russia?

The GRU would only have been doing their job if they did not attempt to fabricate (if necessary) material on him.

So Trump may feel he is innocent and his crime "merely" allowing himself to be set up.

That is just speculation of course .

It would be difficult to make Trump appear worse than he actually is (pace his genuine supporters) but the GRU may have accomplished this.

Your kind keep harping on Benghazi... yet, Republicans such as Jason Chaffetz and others have repeatedly acted to cut funding for embassy security...

    How curious...

Personal vendetta - hardly. Enforcing forum rules. Misquoting and maligning what others has said is an actionable offense, as is repeating already disproved statements as "facts". Just keep that in mind and you shan't have any problem.

    Putin’s Puppet

We shouldn’t overstate Putin’s efforts, which will hardly determine the outcome of the election. Still, we should think of the Trump campaign as the moral equivalent of Henry Wallace’s communist-infiltrated campaign for president in 1948, albeit less sincere and idealistic than that. A foreign power that wishes ill upon the United States has attached itself to a major presidential campaign.

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_...troying_the_west_and_it_looks_a_lot_like.html

How prophetic, this was written back in July of last year. If Mr. Foer had only known how pliable segments of our electorate truly are, he would’ve changed the line above.

Contrary to his assertions during the election, Trump’s had his eye on Russian investments for decades, and it would seem that he sees his presidency as means to that end. I don’t know if it’s a Pinocchio/Gepetto relationship between he and Putin, or the two are working together for mutual gain, or it could be that Putin’s just got a firm grip on his nutsack. But it seems more certain with every passing day that President Elect Pinocchio is again in need of a nose job, and we need Anthony Weiner to send him some dick pics so that that James Comey will have an excuse to look into his affair with Putin before inauguration day.

I'm listening to Tillerson's (Trump's Secretary of State nominee) congressional hearing this morning. It began well for him. But Rubio asked Tillerson some very cutting and direct questions. I didn't expect that from a Republicans. Normally, Republicans toss softballs to other Republicans at these congressional hearings. Tillerson got more than his fair share of softballs and praise from Republicans. But Rubio surprised; Rubio asked some very sharp questions of Tillerson.

Rubio had Tillerson pleading ignorance on issues which he should have known about. Rather than say anything bad about Putin, Tillerson repeatedly plead ignorance. That's astounding; it's shocking he could be so ignorant. Tillerson should have known about Chechnya. He should have known what Putin has done in Syria. Tillerson should have known about Putin's brutal suppression of Russians, and his murder of Russian dissidents. I mean after all Tillerson was "prepped" by Trump for this occasion. Tillerson was very evasive and refused to say anything bad about Putin; instead he repeatedly appealed to his ignorance. Now having been the CEO of a multinational oil company, Tillerson shouldn't be that ignorant given his company had and continues to have billions of dollars invested in Russia and has been nominated for and prepared for the office of Secretary of State.

According to Tillerson he hasn't yet discussed Russia with The Donald.

Russia denigrates itself. It needs no help in that regard.

Unlike your beloved Mother Putina, she has not invaded a single country. Unlike your beloved Putina, she has not annexed the lands of any country. And just what is it you think Clinton did in Benghazi that merits "war general" status? Please be specific and have credible evidence to back up your assertion.

The fact is you have none; none exists, because she hasn't done the things you have accused her of doing. That should be a problem for you if you were a honest broker of evidence and reason. But you aren't an honest broker, are you?

And the same thing can be said of his Secretary of State nominee. This morning during his hearings, he was repeatedly grilled about Putin. Rather than say anything bad about Putin he repeatedly plead ignorance.

Trump is now giving a press conference. Trump has had two introductions thus far and each introduction was a denial of the recent revelation that he has been compromised by Russia. His surrogates have offered no evidence. They never do. They just deny and attack as they have done and continue to do.

Trump says if Putin likes him, that's a good thing. He has often repeated that assertion.

Trump was asked today about his ties to Russia. He said he doesn't have any loans in Russia or investments in Russia, but of course he has not offered any proofs as he continues to refuse to disclose his tax returns. But what he didn't say was more important than what he did say. He didn't say he wasn't in debt to Russians and he didn't deny he had any business dealings with Russians. His son is on record saying Trump has extensive business dealings with Russians.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...b6c1998b7a0_story.html?utm_term=.0b46bd788e14

Trump's news conference was quite chaotic at times this morning as Trump attacked the media outlets and the reporters pressed Trump with questions. I've never seen anything quite like it. Trump repeatedly accused mainstream media outlets of being fake news: nothing new there. But it is sad.

Tillerson got caught lying before Congress. Earlier this morning he told Congress Exxon didn't lobby. A few minutes ago he was confronted with public filings which shows it did.

I am amazed at how often he relies upon ignorance and the many things he claims not to know about even when the issues have been widely reported.

Tillerson, like Trump, has a very unique view of reality. He blatantly facts denies facts.

The interesting thing is 2 years ago Trump wasn't a Russophile. In fact, he agreed with Romney's assessment that Russia was our biggest foe. Now, two years later, Trump is a class A Russophile. My what a change. So what happened? Trump has gone from Russia is enemy number one to Russia is his best buddy. My what a change. One has to ask, what happened to bring about this dramatic reversal? Could it be Trump has been compromised by Russia? It certainly appears that way.
