Stop obfuscating MR, you're making yourself look rather silly.
The claim/article is in his book.
In Hynek and Vallee's 1975 book The Edge of Reality, Hynek published a stereoscopic photograph of a UFO he took during a flight.

Check my edited post again. It appears you are totally wrong. Hynek thought it was a cloud and dismissed it.

What else was Hynek wrong about? Don't make up shit again now..

Did you add that later on?
Whatever version you chose to believe anyway, the cloud aspect, would I suggest be true for most others also, along with the many other atmospheric, meteorological events, that can take place, known and unknown.

Stop being so precious MR.....As most on this forum already know, you would be the ultimate summit in making shit up....That has been shown again and again.

OK. So we will call strange images captured on cameras X from now on.

Call em whatever you want. Just don't call them UFO's until you thoroughly vet them..

So you can't call them unidentified until you do enough work to identify them as UFO's.

That's about as logical as anything else you've posted.

Call them unidentified. Just don't call them ufos. Got it?

This will only make it easier for you debunkers in the long run. UFO is currently used in global culture to refer to an otherworldly craft or flying saucer whose source remains a mystery. So to keep from having to explain every time that when you say you believe in ufos you really mean they could be anything, just accept that popular meaning. You can't change word definitions to suit your agenda.

A UFO being of course, anything that cannot be positively identified as .........
cloud, meteorological event, atmospheric anomaly, sprites, glory's, secret military aircraft, not so secret military aircraft, weather balloon, illusion, mirage, imagination, alien, time traveller, inter-dimensional traveller or any other possible assortement of scenarios/possibilities.

a flying object in the sky that some people believe could be a spaceship from another planet

    A quote from Hynek ;

" As a scientist I must be mindful of the past ; all too often it has happened that matters of great value to science were overlooked because the new phenomenon did not fit the accepted scientific outlook of the time ."

And that quote is still true in our time .

    To add a quote from Donald Keyhoe ;

" During my long investigation of these strange objects , I have seen many reports verified by Air Force Intelligence , detailed accounts by Air Force pilots , radar operators, and other trained observers proving the UFO's are high speed craft superior to anything built on Earth ".

You would possibly like it to be true for obvious reasons.

The likes of Hynek, Hoyle, and a few others like Arp for example, are/were professional men, unlike you river, or MR, or myself, but even as professionals, they have been shown all to be wrong in their assessments into their fields of Interest.
And there will of course be more isolated professionals that may not adhere to the general mainstream in the future, and guess what? They too and their claims, will be looked at by other professionals in their fields, [as opposed to the likes of you and MR] and some like Einstein did, will be accepted and lauded for whatever discoveries they find......others like Hoyle, and Hynek and Arp, will be discarded as nonsense.
Science is a discipline in progress river, and all current accepted theories were at one time simply hypotheticals....That does not then follow that all myths, hypotheticals pseudoscience and quackery will achieve the scientific theory status. The scientific method will sort those out, as it always has.

Let's hope that some extraordinary evidence or actual contact is forthcoming re ETL, before I kick the bucket!

At present though, there is zero extraordinary evidence.

Its not about " like " , anymore than you would " like " them to be proved wrong .

What is important , is looking at the evidence , and come to a rational , logical conclusion . As any detective in investigation on the matter would do , who is worth his salt .

Remember that the US government has never actually come out and said that UFO's don't exist ; just that they are not a nation security threat .

No that is just total rubbish my friend.....
Like most scientists, I believe extraterrestrial life exists in this big wide wonderful universe, but as yet we have zero. zilch evidence of it: FACT.
The possibility that some of these ETL may have visited Earth, is also real, but as yet we do not have any conclusive evidence to support that.
And I would love that evidence to be forthcoming before I kick the bucket...which makes your claim, that "I would love them to be proved wrong" just more talking nonsense river.
Sure, and they have done that...they are UFO's...

Why would they say they don't exist?

Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

They do exist...I've seen one myself.
No one though can ever logically claim, that they are piloted by ETL, other then those few who are gullible enough to still believe in Santa, Bigfoot, and ghosts.

Unlike you MR, I do not lie...I quoted my link...you gave another from questionable origins as usual.

I've told you twice and elaborated on it with other of the rare professional scientists that does fall for your mythical rubbish.

What flabberghasts me is that you state this with such certainty, yet when it actually happens you don't believe them.

"You guys must investigate rationally and logically."
"We did. It's what we do. And our conclusion is that there is no compelling evidence here."
"Then you weren't thorough enough. Keep looking until you get the answer I want."

This logic is a self-fulfilling foregone conclusion. "I will only believe they've done a good job when their answer is that they found what I expect them to find."
