Since you had to have added the "='syne'" to your quote tag (since it lacks the link back to the quoted post that it would have had had you just hit reply), it seems you know how to use the quote tags, and just failed to use it to distinguish your own quote. Maybe you were just in a hurry. I don't know. But it came off as either lazy, dishonest, or trolling.

That said, "it" should be obvious since it (mansplaining) is the topic of this thread.

So which is it iceaura? Is mansplaining "explaining something you KNOW the other person already KNOWS", explaining something someone doesn't want/never asked to know, both, or something else? You've already said that manor doesn't matter. Since you keep saying no one but you understands what it is, by all means, define it already.

Since I have explained why I did that, the reason you don't know is that you aren't paying attention.

Which is also why you never see mansplaining, and don't know what it is.
But that would make no sense in context. You were referring to my post, after all.
That is the response I was making fun of, as so off-chart clueless.

Meanwhile, in my posting I specifically assert that mansplaining is not actually explanation at all. See Bell's flowchart for a description, note that possession of knowledge by the mansplainer - anything that somebody else doesn't know - while assumed in your questions, is not assumed or even indicated therein.

So an explanation for the phenomenon, which might bear on handling it, cannot rest on any possession of valuable knowledge or legitimate function by the mansplainer.
