If they aren't correct, management has really screwed up in the hiring, training, and skills department - if the guys on the floor don't know their own jobs better than the suits, nobody's going to have a job for long.

Item: the early North Vietnamese recruits under (nominally) Ho Chi Minh spent almost as much time on training in diplomacy and ideology as they did on weapons. That turned out to be a major advantage.
Item: I once worked for a very successful Minnesota tannery that opened a branch in Texas - management was tired of dealing with unions and the like, and wanted to save money in wages. They staffed it by shipping a posse of suits down there to handle the skilled executive matters, and hiring a bunch of guys off the street to handle the dumb and dirty stuff they were paying too much for - the actual tanning of the hides, that is. They spent a fortune, had major quality and machine breakdown problems, ended up having to sell a third generation company to one of their major customers - who only wanted to buy the Minnesota end, and didn't care about the missing executives.

The question, in other words, is whether morale is taking a hit in the trenches of the US government these days.

you know and he gets away with it over and over again. But dont fight evil, you cant win against it, in its own world. I just ignore all the personal attacks I received from him so far, but it is upsetting that someone of such caliber is allowed to moderate. I get it he is a literature genius, but the hypocricy of what is allowed for him to get away and what others cant say the same thing about him is astounding to say the least.

I can believe it... must be a relief for you to be able to be openly racist, misogynistic, and bigoted without fear of repercussion... I mean, your dictator... er, I mean, president does it, so it's perfectly ok for you to do it, right?

Making it a "decent place to meet and converse" would require banning quite a few members... members who, unfortunately, are seen as necessary since they contribute to a high post count, despite the quality of said posts being less than adequate.

    Cest 'la vie...

Nope Cest no 'la vaie. If life was about killing him or her to make a better world for others, the world would have been long since empty.
