Many believers ask why God does not help them, and why everything always goes wrong. "Does not God love me?" They ask. When we read the Bible and delve into the different stages of the people of Israel in God's history of salvation during the Old Covenant, we can see the reason for and consequences of the people of Israel have to suffer the consequences of their actions due to the rebellion of sin, or fail to understand because of sin. God loves and helps His people, but does not support sin, murmuring and rebellion. The Bible says that God has promised to help those who believe in Him and who, in their distress, cry for (ask for) God to help them, and God has promised to help them (wants to help them), but believers must honor God so that God can help them. The Bible says that God dwells among the gratitude shown to Him by his people (inhabit the praises of Israel - His people).

    What is your question?
Can you not formulate a question?
You present as a spammer pushing what I do not know.
Go to your room, read the bible and whip yourself with rods of iron only then will you be welcomed to the kingdom of god.
You seem like a dingbat can you prove otherwise.

    I thank him.
I have little to offer the forum but perhaps I can engage the nonsence and leave room for others to get on and do.

Yes of course pay $5000 into my account to cover stamp duty and I can help.
I am fully accredited and you will receive copies of such immediately after your deposit. Look so you know this is on the up and up pay half now and that way you wont have to pay the balance until you get the letters of accreditation. You cant be too careful. Glad to help.

An analogy for what Petri is presenting, would be someone who eats unhealthy food and has a stressful lifestyle that burns the candle at both ends. They then complain that they keep getting sick, are always tired, and can't lose weight. They blame something else, never considering that their own behavior is the source of the problem. The bible is sort of the owners manual for the soul and spirit, which tells you how to optimize, so you feel like you are running on all cylinders.

In the example above, if that person read some articles on health, diet and stress, which details how to optimize the body and the avoid the pitfalls, they could change their behavior and change their own reality. Instead, they want to maintain all the stressors of their lifestyle choices and then blame God for why cause and effect is still occurring. They want an irrational result, where cause and effect can break down, and bad food and burning the candle at both ends makes you a stud athlete.

In the Old Testament, Israel is often in captivity as slaves, blaming God for their woes. It never dawns on most of them, that maybe their own behavior is what is causing this imbalance. The prophets of each generation tell them they need to go back to the owners manual and do a reboot. But they don't want to hear that, but prefer God make cause and affect break down for them. It is an artifact of willpower and choice, since choice can choose paths where cause and effect will break down. God is like natural laws, which maintain cause and affect.

Rubbish I lived 25 years as a play boy, drank every night, more girls than I remember, raced bikes made heaps of money and have lived longer than anyone I grew up with.
Why? But cause I enjoyed life and didn't waste time on the crap you suggest is relevant.

Nonsense what do you know of that time..you guess you make up stuff and so your credibility fails.
Look mate you seem like a really decent chap but you really have to stop just making stuff up.
Forget the symbolism, stop reading between the lines and well just get real.
Use your wonderful mind to deal with reality and I am sure you could offer meaningful contributions.
Stop being an apologist for the bible..sure its a great work etc etc but please it is what it is, its not what you contrive it to be...
Sorry I am an uneducated mug so your finery is lost on me.

But according to the Bible, we are always sinners, so God's justice and random events look exactly the same. One can always interpret any negative event as punishment, even natural weather patterns. So you see, the religion is structured in such a way as to account for everything.
