China is warning this: http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/08/asia/china-north-korea-wang-yi/index.html What do you think will happen now that Trump is president and he seems to be very thin-skinned. Or maybe he should take action? I'm really on the fence about this one. I despise their ruler, Kim Jong-il, but I'm not a fan of our president either. Thoughts?
If only it could be settled by Ding Dong Il and Drumpf in a cage fight. I would hope that it is a draw, both dying in the ring. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

China has its own agenda. The US is installing a missile-defense system (THAAD) in South Korea that has some ability to intercept incoming ballistic missiles. The obvious occasion for that is North Korea working to perfect ballistic missiles that might deliver nuclear warheads. China is aggressively opposing this deployment since they apparently fear that it would not only work against North Korea, but that it would also lessen China's ability to threaten South Korea and Japan with Chinese nuclear missiles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_High_Altitude_Area_Defense I think that Pyongyang should think very carefully before it embarks on new adventures like torpedoing South Korean naval vessels or shelling South Korean islands (both of which have happened in the past). If North Korea launches a new military provocation, the US might just order a counterforce/decapitation strike against North Korean nuclear and missile sites, against military installations. and against the regime itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROKS_Cheonan_sinking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombardment_of_Yeonpyeong I am too. I don't think that the US will attack North Korea unless North Korea does something to provoke an attack. That's why Kim Jong Un needs to be very careful.
Oh, I don't know. Maybe it could be the flash point for WWIII. Maybe thousands of people die in a "little war" between them and the US and South Korea. Maybe they launch a few nuclear-tipped missiles into Japan. Maybe there are millions of innocent civilians starving to death there. Nothing really. You can go back to sleep. Hell man, we got people starving right here in the good old usa. Also dying from cold and disease and neglect. If the us government/military gets involved, are we not more likely to trigger a bigger war than North Korea could accomplish on their own?
Of course, all you say there is true. All the more reason to "care about North Korea" and what actions it takes. Let's hope their idiot ruler doesn't piss off our idiot president.
Google is your friend. Next you'll be asking me "why is there air?" And everyone know the answer to that question. To blow up basketballs with. (Sorry Bill.)
Best scenario: Kim Jong Un is taken out in a coupe. The guys who take over put N Korea back on the right track to being a decent world neighbor. (I can dream, can't I?)
In the early 1900s Korea was described as being "the hermit kingdom". Maybe, some there have no wish of "being a decent world neighbor". Just because the hermit/dragon/tiger/whatever lies sleeping in the cave, doesn't mean you have to go in and poke it with a stick. ............................ see: http://www.historytoday.com/wilson-strand/opening-hermit-kingdom http://www.cbsnews.com/news/north-korea-the-hermit-kingdom/ https://www.reference.com/history/korea-called-hermit-kingdom-45ac51fa10223b72 https://www.google.com/search?q=der...urceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=the hermit kingdom&*
There are "some" in every country who feel that way. In the US, the "some" are those that voted for Drumpf. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I don't see anything good resulting from either action or inaction. If we wait and just ignore them, several years from now they could have enough nukes and enough long-range delivery missiles to wreak havoc within a huge circle. Or if we preemptively act, something that is probably against international law, then we risk starting a regional war.
We have tarted many regional wars, are we successful? Are we provoking them ,or they are provoking us . We are about 6000 miles from Korea, to you think they will occupy us 330 million inhabitant with their peanuts 20 million inhabitants ?
