I cannot understand the language of form in the movie Arrival . Has anybody figured out , what in the movie they figured out ?
Spoiler alert Spoiler The theory is that language shapes how you perceive reality. Since the aliens perceive time as a whole (your past, future and current times can be perceived in the present [ala Kurt Vonnegut's tralfamadorians]), when the linguist understood the language she could see the future.
