Apple has the most cash among the companies, reportedly nearly one Trillion USD. Does Apple do charity to benefit people? What's the purpose of earning more money? Iphone has quality, but it is indeed made in china. Without Foxconn, Apple won't be able to make iphone at such cost. It is wrong to blame China for taking jobs away from USA, it is the US companies who want to make their products in China.
If a "cardio hemorrhaging" facade and conforming to this century's version of the "square establishment" is the standard which one is evaluating businesses / industries by... Then Microsoft ironically appears on some progressive lists rather than Apple. (Incongruity with respect to how often an everyday SJW on the street might seem to complain about MS or vilify it at times.) But the infamous conservapedia categorizes Apple as southpaw. It is. It creates jobs directly, it creates jobs indirectly via entire industries that support Apple products, it helps people live their lives more the way they want, which means they're happier, and spend money, etc. It is supporting capitalism and a thriving, growing economy. Remember, if there are no consumers with cash, then there are no consumers who can contribute to charities.

Matter of personal choice. Either the claims of higher quality are a fact that requires the extra price or the claims have deteriorated to a promotional myth (but Apple still benefits from a sustained "cult of cool" that grants them an "Armani suit" prestige to be successfully expensive). Returning to the matter of their "goodwill" reputation in terms of society... Apple along with others arguably have "indentured immigrants" who get snared in static contracts via the whole labor trafficking process, and may depend upon a company and mediating brokers to have a major (if not sole) influence on whether their visas / working permits are renewed / extended. IOW, despite laws and even company policies forbidding it, they can be held "hostage" to below average wages and other conditions. The heads of corporate offices buffer or excuse themselves from knowing any of this stuff is going on, similar to how in former times the captains and owners of the shipping industry feigned being in the dark as to how crimps were supplying them with shanghaied sailors. Thus a degree of cynicism is perhaps warranted when these Silicon Valley giants (and elsewhere) complain about constraining immigration policies. That they're only "recruiting the the brightest and most talented" wonks around the world to maintain a competitive edge. There can be ulterior motives behind secular ideological altruism and receiving "sainthood" applause as much as the traditional religious kind. Germany's incredible generosity of 2015 in regard to accepting Syrian refugees stemmed from strategies formulated years earlier by Angela Merkel's administration to address the country's looming labor shortage crisis. But on the other hand, if it takes hidden motives and conspiracies of self-interest to get "good deeds" finally rolling, then perhaps don't get too "H. L. "deserve"? If people didn't think Apple deserves so much money, they can always vote with their money - by taking it elsewhere. Free market capitalism is one of the few economies that actually works.
Doesn't take much money? Is that a joke? If you don't innovate and invest in talent and infrastructure, you might as well just give up now. And it takes billions.
