That makes a good premise for a thread.

She's fairly well known, as comedians go.

    More so now.

But I think that was the plan.

Tomorrow I'm making it a point to forget her name, face and antics. But I was curious what others thought. Thanx.

Are you making it a point to delete Ted Nugent's and Palin's names too?

Nor me. But I do not live in the USA and I don't have a TV set. However I see her mug is all over the BBC webshite today. I must say I find for a comedian to wrap herself in the mantle of victimhood, after a joke of hers in poor taste provokes a reaction, seems childish.

"Trump broke me", she weeps, taking an onion from her pocket. You can actually see her trying to work herself up to weep in the interview, repeating "He broke me" over and over again until the tears come. Rather clammy and revolting, I thought.

If a comedian sets out to be provocative, (a gag about beheading a head of state, with an actual fake severed head, would seem to be that, surely?), why the shock and distress when some people are, er, provoked?

I've never been a fan of Griffin. Her schtick like so many "artists" and comedians today is being provocative. She's not alone. There are many like her on the left and on the right. This time she took it too far.

Griffin thrives on celebrity scandal, for better or worse. I'm sure she's loving the attention.

I'm sure of that, too. Calling her a comedian is a huge stretch, though, unless you can call Rosie O'donnell a comedian, or Trump a politician....

Just my opinion; I've never thought she was funny.

I've never been a fan, and it might have been in poor taste, but way more controversial things are shown in art galleries everyday. I don't think she deserves the amount of backlash that she's received. I think it would be great if a bunch of comedians got together and did copycat performances. Trump and family do not get to draw that line.

I like standup, and follow a lot of comedians. I think most would put her in the same camp as Amy Schumer.

    'Nuff said.

I have never been a fan. I always found her loud and obnoxious in an unfunny way. Her voice annoys me. As in really annoys me, to the point of turning off the tv if she is on..

Do I think she deserves the backlash she is facing? No. I don't. I think it's overblown, personally.

She was the voice of one of the characters in that short-lived "Dilbert" cartoon back in the 1990s. I felt at the very end of that decade that the talking dog in "Family Guy" got ripped-off suggested by the talking dog that was featured dominantly in the former.

They're not provoking my attention. When they whore themselves in an effort to manufacture a scandal, I will hit the ignore button.

So threatening and advocating the murder of Obama and Hillary isn't provoking enough for you. Okay, that says a lot.
