Rape culture has nothing to do with " policies " .

Rape culture is about the strengh of the male , physically .

And the disrespect of the opposite sex .

These weird arguments come from a bit of European imperial philosophy that describes all wars being started by defenders; I believe it was Von Clausewitz who argued that wars could be avoided if defenders would simply give over to invaders.

We've seen versions of it in conservative rhetoric over the years; there are some who think sweatshop and even child labor exploitation only happens because people are victimized by the laws against it. To the one, none can account for what happened before we started enacting various labor laws; child labor and mines, for instance, is a particularly terrifying chapter of human industry. To the other, none ever really specify whether they mean the evasion is a reaction, which is the most implicit meaning, or the classic point that there are no such criminals if there are no such laws.

In this case, either path works. Just fill in the blanks, and, yeah, it's just a way to blame victims: Either rape culture is a reaction to the proposition of woman's humanity and human rights, or else we would need to accept there would be no rape if there were no laws describing rape. Neither outcome speaks well of men, but that is what happens when rape advocacy forgets that men are among rape victims. The numbers are difficult to discern, but something between twenty and forty percent of us have been there, yet our general masculine cultural regard for rape of men is either witchy-woman, ballstomping fetish porn, prison and barracks jokes, or a catch-all for how we feel when we don't get our way. (If in sports and competitive video games, you were either robbed or routed, then you were raped, as it goes these days. Yeah, great, guys. Thanks. We ... we really, really need that.)

But, yes, the general idea of our neighbor's argument is to denigrate men in order to blame women. Or, you know, at least ... as near as I could tell.

And that's the least dangerous thing about it.

To denigrate men was not my point at all .

Physical power over the physically weak , and the want to do what you desire , sexally is the point .

For the most part men are stronger than women , hence the problems in the military and colleges , universtites .

Well, you seemed to be responding to our neighbor's assertion about "policy"; I'm presently trying to figure out your subsequent point about not denigrating men without presuming too much; in between, I had thought I was on about where these weird arguments come from. To the other, I can go back and see the rest of the deleted post; it was a mistake to do so, as that was one heaping, steaming pile of vile. It would have been less discomfiting to simply stick with the remaining scrap, your quote from his line about policy.

Hmmm....it seems my post was taken to the extreme . Never meant to be anything but what I posted .

I'm sorry, but I have no idea ...

    ... okay, y'know, let's try this:

So, let us start right there: What are you on about? "Rape culture has nothing to do with 'policies'". Okay, great. Now, then, what does that even mean?

Rape culture has to do about attitude towards the opposite sex .

Respect . Without respect towards the opposite sex , rape will continue . Regardless of " policies " .

Great. Circular. Thank you so much.

I'm not a fucking psychic; I don't actually care, anymore, what your problem is. Still, if I had to take a guess, it's that you're looking for a fight.

it is circular. you need policies that don't condone or encourage it but lower animal nature if fostered or allowed has no respect for policy. if people are raised a certain way or a society that directly or indirectly is sexist or patriarchal then that can contradict policy and foster or condone rape culture.

I don't disagree with a word of that except perhaps your context of circular, which seems more toward cyclical, interdependent, sequential, &c., whereas I was just annoyed at a response that told me precisely nothing.

Your context is much more useful, just not the one I was using but never mind about that because yours is more useful. Nobody is quite certain what the original policy question was supposed to mean; that post has been deleted because there was no part of its nonsense that was not bleeding its indecency. Still, though, it was quite an accomplishment; that deleted post is an unbelievable homage, a tribute and monument to rape culture—it only goes downhill after the shred that remains in a quote↑.

I really didn't read anything past of that first sentence I quoted and trust my attempt at sarcasm was not lost on anyone.

I think you can feel confident in that; strangeness swirls, but it's not in your post.

Then again, the fact of a sideward distraction occurring approximately at this point in the discussion, while not quite predictable, is entirely unsurprising. In certain discussions, substantive information is frequently followed by petty discussion that spaces out the discourse by inserting a lot of useless. distracting posts attending obscurity of dubious veracity.

The problem is the troll whose post was deleted.

If you look at the Muslim culture, women are not allowed to use their sexual assets in public to gain leverage over men. They have to cover up all sex appeal, from head to toe. When Muslim men immigrated to Europe, many as refugees, the amount of rape and sexual assault rose in these Western countries. Among Muslim men, the rate of rape went beyond what was occurring in the Muslim countries from which they came. What was the difference? This may give us a clue as to a cause of the rape culture. One obvious difference is western women dress for sex appeal and use that to work the men. One may argue that women are responsible for the rape culture. They place their hand in the fire, and blame the fire for the burn. It has nothing to do with their choice to place their hand in the fire.

The analogy is having one female dog go in heat. This will attract male dogs from near and far. In the cross fire of the male frenzy, female dogs who are not in heat, will get caught up in the frenzy due to the same uniform.

You're only trying to be offensive, and or, a total psychopath with no emotion.

    This is your analogy?
There are umpteenth billion counter arguments I could make to this but I'll just let it stand for all to see.
